I started Lip Fetish because lip products have always been my favorite way to express confidence, femininity, and a little bit of attitude. For me, a gloss isn’t just a gloss — it’s a vibe. It’s that flirty, fun spark that makes you feel unstoppable the moment you put it on. I wanted to create a brand that celebrates that feeling. Lip Fetish was born from my love for beauty, my obsession with a perfect lip, and my desire to offer high-quality shades and formulas that look amazing on every woman, especially women who look like me. It’s playful, it’s bold, and it’s made for women who want their lips — and their energy — to speak before they even say a word
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have certainly been challenges along the way.
1. Learning everything from scratch
Stepping into the beauty industry meant having to learn formulas, suppliers, packaging, branding, and marketing — all at once. It was exciting, but overwhelming.
2. Finding the right vendors and quality
Getting formulas and packaging that matched my vision wasn’t easy. Many samples didn’t meet my standards, and I had to stay patient, persistent, and picky to get it right.
3. Balancing business with real life
Running a business while handling work, family, and personal responsibilities can feel like juggling a thousand things. It required sacrifice, late nights, and a lot of discipline.
4. Funding everything myself
Building a brand takes money — inventory, photoshoots, labels, shipping, marketing. Stretching your budget and investing in myself was a challenge, but I kept going anyway.
5. Building awareness from the ground up
With so many beauty brands out there, getting people to notice mine took creativity and real consistency. I had to show up online even when I was tired, unsure, or still figuring things out.
6. Fighting self-doubt
There were moments where I questioned if people would support me, if my ideas were enough, or if I was “qualified.” But my passion pushed me through those doubts.
7. Keeping faith during slow moments
Every business has slow seasons. Staying motivated when sales weren’t where I wanted them to be was a challenge — but I stayed committed to my vision.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is to trust myself — even when the path feels uncertain. Building a brand has taught me that confidence isn’t just something you sell; it’s something you have to practice every day. I’ve learned to be patient with the process, to keep showing up even during slow seasons, and to believe that my vision is worthy. Every challenge reminded me that consistency and faith will take you farther than perfection ever will.
