Today we’d like to introduce you to Jess Lawler.
Hi Jess, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in marketing for 10 years now. I started in a basement working with a mentor who taught me the ins and outs of web design and marketing. Once he moved I knew I wanted to stay in this business. So I started my old company and helped local businesses.
Over time I noticed the same thing happening again and again: people would come to me after paying too much for a site that didn’t work, or after being left in the dark by someone who talked them in circles.
That frustration is what pushed me to rebrand as No Worries Marketing. I wanted to be the opposite of all that, straightforward, reliable, and easy to work with. Now I focus on supporting startups and service-based businesses in Atlanta, building websites and marketing setups that actually make sense and help them grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. There were times I took on too much, undercharged, or second-guessed myself because I didn’t feel as “official” as the big agencies out there.
Also, helping people rebuild trust after a bad experience has been a challenge. A lot of startups I work with have already been burned by overpriced or half-finished websites. It takes patience to earn that trust back and show them that marketing doesn’t have to be complicated.
Those obstacles have shaped the way I work now. I keep things simple, transparent, and realistic so clients know exactly what they’re getting.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about No Worries Marketing?
No Worries Marketing offers custom WordPress website design, SEO strategy, and ongoing marketing support for startups and service-based businesses. That can look like building a brand-new site, fixing an existing one, improving search rankings, or helping with content and ads.
What makes the brand stand out is the way I approach the work – simple, clear, and straightforward. Clients don’t get buried in buzz words or upsells, they get results they understand. I’m also proud that the brand has its own personality. It’s approachable and honest, which makes it easier for clients to feel comfortable and know they’re being taken care of.
At the core, the goal is to take the stress out of websites and marketing so business owners can focus on running their business while knowing their online presence is working for them.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t know if I’d call it luck as much as timing. I’ve had some opportunities come up at just the right moment, and I’ve also had setbacks that felt unlucky but ended up teaching me something important. Either way, I try to focus on what I can control and make the most of what comes my way.
