Exploring Life & Business with Jessica Fields of Harbor 26 Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Fields.

Jessica Fields

Hi Jessica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I’d start my own business; I just didn’t know when. In college, I freelanced while studying Graphic Communications and Marketing, and when I stepped into the corporate world, I kept my side hustle alive. But I wasn’t just clocking in, I was intentionally soaking up everything I could about operations, branding, marketing, and leadership. Corporate was my version of an extended internship, a crash course in business that prepared me to build something of my own.

That’s how Harbor 26 Studio was born. I didn’t want to build just another marketing agency, I wanted to create a space where businesses could get custom, high-level strategy without the cookie-cutter approach. No generic Canva templates, no one-size-fits-all tactics—just thoughtful, intentional marketing that actually moves the needle.

Today, we work with ambitious brands to craft marketing that stands out and stands the test of time. I have the best growing team and can’t wait to see what the future brings!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road in the sense that I was stepping into completely new territory. Sure, I had managed teams, built workflows, and navigated corporate structures, but owning a business? That was a whole new level.

Suddenly, every decision fell on me. I wasn’t just executing strategy; I was building the entire foundation. From handling finances and operations to scaling and hiring, there was a lot to figure out—fast. Even though I had years of experience in marketing and leadership, entrepreneurship came with its own set of lessons.

I’ve learned a lot about business, about myself, and about others. I had to shift from being someone who got things done to someone who built a company that could get things done without me doing everything. That meant learning to delegate, trusting my team, and creating systems that allowed us to grow without losing the personal touch that makes Harbor 26 Studio different.

It’s been a journey of trial and error, adapting and evolving. But every challenge has taught me something valuable, and I wouldn’t trade the lessons for an easier road. Because at the end of the day, growth comes from the moments that push you outside your comfort zone—and that’s exactly where Harbor 26 Studio was built.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
With the global social media management market projected to grow from $20 billion to $51.8 billion by 2027, it’s clear that the next 5-10 years will be a period of incredible growth and transformation in the digital marketing landscape.

This explosive growth is being driven by the increasing importance of social media for businesses of all sizes and industries, as well as the rising demand for specialized expertise in social media strategy and management.

Another key factor will be the growing influence of social commerce. As more people shop directly from social media platforms, brands will need to integrate e-commerce into their strategies seamlessly. Whether through in-platform shopping features or highly targeted ads, social media will become even more intertwined with the customer buying journey.

Those who can combine tech advancements with authentic brand storytelling will be the ones who thrive in this dynamic space in the years to come. If you haven’t started taking social media seriously for your business yet, you’re going to wish you had sooner.
