Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaleb Pierre.
Hi Kaleb, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey in the audiovisual industry in the late ’90s, when my mentor, Janet Stein, gave me my first opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts. The job was just five minutes from my school, which made it the perfect scenario — I could study and still gain hands-on experience in a field that immediately fascinated me.
Over time, I grew within that company and was later recruited by PSAV, where my true professional AV experience began. I spent more than a decade with PSAV, honing my technical and leadership skills while producing events across a range of industries.
When the pandemic hit, I made the decision to step away and help a colleague with the company he was working for at the time. That experience reignited my entrepreneurial spirit and pushed me to finally build something of my own — and that’s how Acuity Event Productions & Design was born.
One of our first major breaks came from Costco, who trusted us with a large-scale project early on. That partnership marked a real turning point for us, and they’ve continued to be one of our most valued clients ever since.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape who I am today. When you’ve been in the AV and event world as long as I have, you realize that this industry runs on long hours, constant problem-solving, and staying calm under pressure. Early on, I faced the same struggles most people do — learning how to balance passion with patience, building relationships, and earning trust in a very competitive field.
During the pandemic, everything changed. Like many in our industry, I watched events disappear overnight. It was tough, but it also forced me to reset and reimagine what I wanted to build. That’s what led to the birth of Acuity Event Productions & Design. Starting a company during that time came with a lot of uncertainty — finding clients, building a team, and keeping morale high — but it also gave me a chance to create something rooted in purpose and service.
Today, every obstacle I faced — from technical challenges to business setbacks — has become part of the foundation that keeps Acuity strong. It wasn’t smooth, but it was absolutely worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Acuity Event Productions & Design is a full-service audiovisual and event technology company based in Georgia. We specialize in creating seamless, stress-free event experiences — from corporate conferences, government meetings, and hybrid events to galas, weddings, and social celebrations. Our motto is “Seamless AV. Stress-Free Events.” — and that perfectly captures our mission to make every client’s vision come to life with ease and excellence.
What sets us apart is our commitment to hospitality and attention to detail. We don’t just provide AV equipment — we provide peace of mind. Our team is made up of seasoned professionals who understand that every event, no matter the size or audience, tells a story. We take the time to understand that story and deliver it with expert lighting, clear audio, and broadcast-quality visuals that leave a lasting impression.
We’re known for our reliability, creativity, and calm under pressure. Whether it’s a Fortune 500 meeting, a large-scale government conference, or a local nonprofit gala, our clients trust us because we make complex productions look effortless. That’s something I’m incredibly proud of — we’ve built our reputation for excellence one event at a time.
Brand-wise, I’m proud that Acuity reflects both professionalism and personality. We combine high-level technical expertise with a genuine human touch. Our long-standing partnerships — including Costco and several hospitality and government organizations across Georgia — are proof that clients value the consistency, care, and quality we bring to every production.
At the end of the day, I want readers to know that Acuity isn’t just an AV company — we’re a team of storytellers, problem solvers, and event partners who believe every event deserves to look, sound, and feel its absolute best.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t just measured by numbers or the size of a production — it’s measured by impact and consistency. Success is when a client can walk into their event, take a deep breath, and say, “Everything looks and feels perfect.” It’s about creating moments that feel effortless because of all the hard work that happens behind the scenes.
I define success as earning trust — from clients, team members, and partners. When people know they can count on you, that’s real success. It’s also about growth — not just financially, but personally and professionally. Every year, I want Acuity Event Productions to become more efficient, more creative, and more empowering for the people who work with us.
Most importantly, success is being able to look back and know that I stayed true to my values — integrity, service, and excellence — while building something that helps others shine.
