Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendell Myers “Mr. OVERCOMER”.
Hi Kendell Myers, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Kendell Myers also known as Mr.OVERCOMER every mountain, I come across I get over and I also show people the path across the mountain. I help people turn a Pain into their SUPERPOWER. Originally born in a city like St. Louis, Missouri, I never knew how my life would be, turn out and the purpose that I would be called for. Growing up in St. Louis, I have went through so much grief and seeing so many things that could’ve kept me stuck. What kept me on the right path was my parents. They was great parents but not perfect. They grew up in very rough parts of St. Louis. My mom in downtown Carr square and my father in northside Walnut Park. If you know, you know. They was able to escape their environments and get great jobs. So when me and my brother Kellen was born. They provided a great life for us but when they left their environments They kept their bad habits with them. My mom used drugs up till I was five years old even when She was pregnant with me and my father actively used drugs his whole life, but you can never tell from neither of them because of their lifestyle. Holiday parties in the house. Trips to Florida every year and we never missed a Christmas nor birthday. When I seen my parents physically abusing each other, I knew it was not all about what’s on the outside. When they divorce and was able to still co-parent. I knew that was best at a very young age. Fast-forward to 2021, I move to Atlanta Georgia then four months later found my purpose of becoming an certified Purpose coach , empowerment speaker and author. Speaking on 30+ stages in person such places Orlando, Florida, Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Columbia, South Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia and virtual platforms 200-50,000 across the world. Coach by the great Les Brown and leadership trained by Eric Thomas “ET the hip-hop preacher”. Lead community outreach projects and blessed to work for the NBA organization: Atlanta Hawks Flight Crew for 3 seasons. Volunteer for at Promise Center, An at-risk youth center. By turning my pain into superpower he created a Devine assignment that was placed on my life to teach people how to turn pain into their superpower, find their purpose to their Divine assignment
And not being afraid to step out on Faith. I am now currently a husband. that just got married March 7, 2025, stepfather of three and the spring of 2025, I have decided go back to college and pursue my associates degree in psychology. I will be graduating December 2025. My ultimate goal is to impact 1 billion people around the world. I am Mr. OVERCOMER EVERY MOUNTAIN. I COME ACROSS I GET OVER AND I ALSO SHOW PEOPLE THE PASS ACROSS THE MOUNTAIN.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Struggles have definitely been real in my life. I learned the valuable principles of perseverance and determination as a child and didn’t realize that will be the foundation to my purpose. All the way up to about 13 I experience my first trial. I struggle to read very bad, even three letter words. Thank God for my mom being clean , sober and understood I needed help. She got me a tutor that work with me for two years. I went from being scared., afraid of life and struggling to communicate to graduating vice president of my senior class, Vp of national honor Society, honor student and accepted to 13 colleges and universities. The second thing I experienced at 17, being at a teen club I thought you were always be protected, save and have fun. This night turned out to be otherwise. As me and some of my friends and family waited to get in the club, bullets start to ring out then we all fell forward. It was a drive-by shooting and two people got killed. One young man died 5 feet away from me. I am still affected by that today. The third thing is my second year of college at Alabama A&M. I went back home to visit my father, I met my oldest brother, “Lil Rob” for the first time. Three days after he left., my father passed away from stage four lung cancer. I was 20 years old at this time and emotionally all over the place. It was something that saved my life and something was building a relationship with God.

I wear several hats: I facilitate character leadership development workshops, motivational literacy , signature keynotes on success, leadership, perseverance, and self identity, support outreach initiatives. Publish a motivational quote Book.
What set me apart from others is my authenticity, vulnerability and transparency. I am not here to clout chase. I am here to fulfill my Divine assignment on earth that God call me to do. I am a living representation of someone who environment could’ve break them, change them in affect them but he did none of that. It made me stronger and able to find my Purpose.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see my industry making dramatic changes in how to show people ways to implement plans immediately. You must set yourself apart by truly doing the research and understanding the community by getting out of here and being a part of changing it. Me and My Wife is even starting a royal transformation program called Royal Heir Transformation Experience. Our vision for that is to re-introduce God’s people to their royal lineage breaking physical, emotional and spiritual bondage teaching kingdom principles towards Divine assignment. This is because people need to understand that God is in them, which helps them get through mental health such depression, anxiety and several disorders. Break generational curses of their families that can cause setbacks and not just chase money but a part of what you are created for: PURPOSE
