Today we’d like to introduce you to Kia Osborne.
Kia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My brilliant son Chandler introduced me to a media influencer and financial strategist that taught us about financial literacy and various ways to generate passive income. One of those ways was event venues. I have a passion for events and event planning, and I needed a place to have my 50th birthday party 😊, so I acquired my first event venue. My first venue was booked consistently and I was turning people away, so I acquired the other venues.
Ultimately, I wanted to generate passive income and build generational wealth for my family doing something that I love and have a passion for. In addition, I wanted to give back to my community – and not just take so I do that through offering affordable event space and by hosting toy and bike drives, community cookouts and vendor pop-up shops.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been hard work, but the road has been relatively smooth and fulfilling. Having your own business is a growing process and there’s always room for improvement.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Momentous Event Venues?
We offer intimate event spaces for your next birthday party, baby shower, bridal shower, wedding, business meeting, graduation party, holiday party, training class and more at an affordable price. We give you free tables, chairs, Wi-Fi and parking.
I want people to know that there are countless ways to generate passive income and we all have it within us to take control over our lives.
I hope to inspire all to…
1. Support each other in all ways, including business.
2. Find your passion and purpose – create a vision board.
3. Bridge the generational gap and work with our younger generation (the smartest generation in my opinion) to learn about financial literacy and ways to build generational wealth.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see the event space growing but in unconventional ways, meaning more unique and specialized event venues.
