Hi Luke, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in insurance restoration contracting for 16 years. I owned a roofing and restoration company that serviced the Southeast for 12 years before starting Precision Claim Consultants.
My primary focus at Precision has been Roof damage claims on both commercial and residential homes and properties. We also assist with water damage claims on commercial and residential homes and buildings and also fire loss claims.
We help property owners after a catastrophic loss to their property, we make sure the insurance company is plane fare and we hold the insurance company accountable to make sure our customers get the highest payout possible for their claims.
We also help contractors with their customer’s claims whenever the insurance company is trying to lowball the estimates for all of the restoration work that’s needed to put the homes back into a pre-loss condition.
So basically in a nutshell, I started Precision because of a need I saw in the industry to help homeowners property owners and contractors fight against the insurance companies to hold them accountable.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No business is ever smooth. Anything worth building takes a lot of work and it doesn’t come easy. Anyone that says it comes easy hasn’t truly built a real company.
In 2019 when I start a Precision we had to learn how to get everything structured out properly and systems in place and that wasn’t easy because this was the first time I had ever owned a public adjusting firm.
Also, it’s very difficult to build good relationships with contractors because most contractors want to work the claims that they get on their own so selling our services to a contractor is not the easiest task. If contractors knew the benefit of hiring a public adjuster for the claims they work they would hire a good Public Adjusting firm every time because the payouts on claims are usually 30 to 50% higher than what the insurance company typically offers in the initial settlement.
