

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marshall Morgan, CFP®.
Hi Marshall, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a passion for numbers and for helping people, which has guided me through every stage of my journey. I started out as a kicker for the University of Georgia and later had the opportunity to play professionally for the Buffalo Bills.
Being in the world of high-stakes athletics gave me a front-row seat to how quickly money can come—and how easily it can go. I watched teammates and peers earn life-changing incomes, only to see it disappear just as fast. That experience planted a seed: What does it take to make this money last? How do you turn a moment of financial success into a lifetime of security?
After stepping away from football, I spent two years in banking, which gave me a strong foundation in finance and a clearer understanding of how the industry works. I realized I wanted more than just a transactional role, I wanted to build deeper relationships and be a true partner in my clients’ financial lives.
That led me to become a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Today, I work with affluent families, executives and business owners, helping them with all of their financial needs. What drives me every day is the opportunity to bring clarity, confidence, and strategy to people’s financial lives. Just like preparing for a game, building a solid financial future requires a plan, discipline, and execution. I’m grateful to be in a role where I can combine my passions and experiences to make a real impact.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have certainly been a few bumps along the way, but that’s part of what makes this profession so rewarding. This is such an exciting time to be in wealth management. While our team is very structured and process-oriented, no two days are ever the same. The markets are constantly evolving, and so are our clients’ financial lives, which keeps us on our toes.
The biggest curveball came during COVID. At the time, our son Maddox was just one year old, and both my incredible wife, Madison, and I were working from home. To add to the challenge, we had just purchased a new home across town in March 2020. Amidst all that change, our team had to pivot quickly. Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of how we adapted. That experience really reinforced our ability to stay agile and step up through adversity, ultimately making our team stronger and more connected.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Born and raised in South Florida, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. In line with that passion, one unique experience I’m proud of was managing to snowboard and surf in the same day.
