Today we’d like to introduce you to Maurice Stewart.
Hi Maurice, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Dope City Prints & 4colthezure Designs started back in 2013 as a retail clothing brand. At first, I was paying different print companies to bring my ideas to life. But after one of my designs got stolen and reprinted without permission, that was it—I knew I had to take control. So I bought my first screen printing press and started learning everything I could.
Big shoutout to my brother Ced Sheppard, who opened up his shop to me and let me work hands-on while I figured things out. That experience changed the game. I realized it wasn’t just about pushing my own brand anymore—it was about offering a service to the community. Something real, affordable, and right here at home.
Now, with some solid years under my belt, the mission has grown. We’re not just printing—we’re building a culture rooted in the spirit of D.O.P.E.: Dreams, Opportunity, Prosperity, and Excellence. That’s what Dope City (City Of Dope) stands for. It’s bigger than a name—it’s a mindset and a movement.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business solo dolo is never easy. It’s a grind—mentally, physically, and financially. When you’re building something from scratch by yourself, you wear every hat: designer, printer, marketer, customer service—you name it, I’ve done it.
There’ve definitely been times where it felt like a real solo dolo mission. The people I thought would show up and support, the ones who said they’d be there? No shows. No calls. That part hurt, but I don’t let it break me. I use it as fuel to keep pushing forward, to level up, and to stay locked in.
That same energy inspired designs like my latest piece, “Hermetic Soul”—a reflection of what it feels like to protect your peace and move with purpose when the path gets quiet. Through all the ups and downs, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every struggle built me. Every setback sharpened my focus. I’m still here, still printing, still pushing.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
It’s simple—I’m the mind and hands behind Dope City Prints and 4clothezure. I specialize in custom screen printing, heat transfers, and a full print-on-demand service that lets creators, brands, and small businesses bring their vision to life without all the overhead. Whether you need 1 shirt or 100, I got you covered.
At the same time, I’m building 4clothezure—a clothing brand with real meaning, not just designs on fabric. Everything I create has a story, a purpose, a deeper layer. It’s about speaking to the soul, inspiring thought, and putting something real out into the world.
Now what sets me apart? That’s easy—me. Nobody feels what I feel. Nobody’s lived what I’ve lived. That means nobody’s gonna deliver the level of service, attention, or intention that I bring to the table. When you work with me, it’s above and beyond—every single time. I’m not just pushing out prints, I’m building relationships, helping people build their brands, and doing it all with heart.
What I’m most proud of is staying solid through it all. Building this from the ground up, staying true to the vision, and watching people connect with the work—it means everything.
Whether you’re launching your own merch, need custom gear, or just want something dope and meaningful to wear—Dope City Prints and 4clothezure are here for that. This is bigger than clothes and printing—it’s purpose, it’s service, and it’s all love.

“Built from nothing, made for everything.”
— That’s the energy behind every print and every piece.
How do you think about happiness?
First and foremost—my family. My kids. Watching them grow over the years has been the biggest blessing. And now, seeing each of them tap into entrepreneurship in their own way—whether it’s starting a clothing brand or doing nails at such a young age—that alone brings me real joy.
I think it’s pretty self-explanatory why that makes me happy. I love to believe they caught that ownership spirit from me. They’ve seen the highs and lows, they’ve watched the hustle, and they know that everything I built was so I could be present. I didn’t want to miss moments in their lives, and no matter how hard it got—I was there. Through the struggles, through the grind—I stayed locked in, for them.
That’s what really fills me up. Seeing them inspired, knowing they were paying attention, and now watching them walk their own paths with confidence and creativity—that’s everything.
