Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a 20-year-old Certified Lash Artist. I’ve serviced nearly 500 ladies and made over $75,000 in two years. I value my clients and am appreciative of all of them. My journey as a lash artist hasn’t been easy and it was trial & error. I became a lash artist at 18 years old. I didn’t want to work a 9-5 while being a full-time college student. I wanted to choose from the hours & days I worked. These two years have taught me so many valuable skills.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I started doing lashes in the middle of a pandemic and it was very difficult to grow my clientele due to so many people are out of work. I struggled with isolation the most, and that is one of the most important steps in being a lash artist.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a certified lash artist located in Chicago, IL. I am a home-based lash artist due to being a full-time college student. I do luxury eyelash extensions and am known for my uniformed lash looks. What sets me apart from others is that I’m creative when it comes to marketing my business and most importantly never comparing myself to others. I am most proud of my professionalism. No matter how bad a situation maybe I will always remain professional. My brand will only continue to prosper; I will be dropping a lash book, lash line, and much more this year!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was sassy, stubborn, and determined. I never wanted help with anything, because I was determined to figure it out myself. I loved to shop and dress up and that still hasn’t changed. On the other hand, I’m no longer sassy and not as stubborn as I used to be. I learned to remain teachable because I don’t know everything.
