Hi Patrick, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Constellation for one reason: to help my dad.
He’s a criminal defense attorney who was spending a ton of money on a marketing company that gave him zero clarity, locked him into a long-term contract, and somehow kept convincing him to spend more — even though he wasn’t getting any new cases.
That lit a fire in me.
I had a background in digital marketing, so I jumped in to help. We cleaned up the mess, got his site ranking, and new business started coming in. That moment made something click — this wasn’t just about my dad. It was about a broken industry filled with agencies selling fluff, not results.
So I built Constellation to be the opposite of that. No long contracts. No BS. Just clear, ROI-driven marketing exclusively for law firms. Since then, we’ve grown to support 100+ firms, generated over $50 million in revenue for clients, and built a team I’m insanely proud of.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road — more like a legal pad full of scribbles, crossed-out ideas, and late nights.
When I started Constellation, I had a clear vision: help law firms grow with honest, ROI-focused marketing. But knowing what you want to build doesn’t mean you immediately know how to build it. In the early days, I was doing everything — sales calls in the morning, managing SEO campaigns at lunch, and troubleshooting websites at midnight. There was no team, just grit and Google Sheets.
One of the biggest hurdles was trust. Lawyers — rightfully so — are skeptical of marketing agencies. Most have been burned before, and I had to work twice as hard to prove we weren’t like the rest. That meant going out of our way to be transparent, backing everything with data, and saying “no” to tactics that looked good on paper but didn’t drive real results.
There were also moments where growth outpaced infrastructure. We’d sign a wave of new clients, and suddenly our systems were straining. I had to learn how to hire the right people, document processes, and shift from being in the business to running the business.
It’s still not perfect — nothing ever is — but every misstep taught me something. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the hard parts are what make the wins mean something.

Consistency is what helped me build trust with skeptical attorneys. It’s what helped turn one client into 100+. It’s also what allowed us to build a team and culture where people take ownership and push for results, not because someone’s watching over their shoulder, but because that’s just how we operate.
So while I’d love to say there’s some secret formula, the truth is less sexy: show up, care deeply, and keep going. That’s what’s moved the needle for me — and for the business.
