Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hey there!! Thank you for having me! My name is Phalanecia Kincaid and I’m the owner of Phlebotomy Training Center of Mississippi and we are Expanding to Atlanta, GA. I’m so excited!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My healthcare training center has been open for four years and this journey has been very hectic. Some months are good and some are not so good, but I have never gotten discouraged. I have shed plenty of tears, but I continued to trust the process. Although I still have struggles as an entrepreneur, I wouldn’t change the fact I chose to invest in myself. Nobody said this journey would be easy.!!

Phlebotomy Training Center of Mississippi is a healthcare training Center. We specialize in different programs such as Phlebotomy, EKG, Billing and Coding, etc. I have the first Phlebotomy Training Center in my area! I’m actually the First minority woman to open a healthcare training facility school in Forest, Mississippi which is a big accomplishment for me and for all the women and young girls that look up to me!
My school is much different from bigger schools. I actually care about each individual students and cultivate lasting bonds with them. I try my best to help each and every one of them succeed in their career. I go above and beyond to make sure each student reaches each of their goals whether it’s big or small. Most importantly, I build relationships! This is more than a job to me. I create a family. My students are my family.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
This is an exciting question. We’re expanding to Atlanta, GA. But HOLD UP, not only that we’re holding a bigger secret.
