Today we’d like to introduce you to Reginald Reese.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I spent the last 25 years as a corporate retail executive for some of the largest companies in the world. I spent years overseeing Walmart stores and RossDress for Less in Georgia. I acquired, expanded and Co-founded a chain of juice bars in 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia and Tampa, Florida ultimately selling in 2019. I retired from corporate in 2017 mostly due to my health issues. I had two major spine reconstruction surgeries and both hips replaced. These medical conditions put me on a path of opioid addiction which had a huge negative impact on my overall mental health and physical health. At the time, I was two opioids and one muscle relaxer and I could not function or get off those drugs. I was later introduced to CBD and at that point, I was willing to try almost anything to get off of those pain meds.
After starting the CBD treatments something amazing happened. I was starting to desire the Opioids less and less and my quality of life daily started to improve and I was feeling hopeful again. As time went on, I was able to completely get off of all those opioids with little to no withdrawals and my overall health begin to transform. It was than I decided I had to do research on Hemp and CBD and understand how this plant could do so much for the human body. I begin to travel all over the country meeting with growers, genetic companies and extraction companies as well as agencies that support the Hemp Cannabis industry. I took classes in Nashville to gain more knowledge and understanding. I also begin to study and learn about the Endocannabinoid System and how our body is treated, managed and regulated by the Endocannabinoid system and after spending a year of traveling and researching, I realized that I need to get into this industry and create a business that will allow me to bring the same medicinal solution to people who need it. I knew if I did this right, I could change and improve the lives of millions of people who was suffering from health problems and addiction.
After that decision, I decided to purchase some land in South Georgia and start my own farm. I started out with 17.5 acres in Metter Georgia and eventually expanded to 41 acres. I officially started my company in July 2019 and was the first farm to get my Hemp Growers license in April 2020. (Aka) 420! I started the company with the plan to just grow plants but quickly realized that in order for me to truly service the needs of the consumer, I need to be able to do it all. I must be able to control each vertical of this newly legal industry and from that, we created our other verticals that allowed us to control growing, pricing, and overall quality. We branches out and created our manufacturing company, wholesale and white label company, cultivation, retail dispensaries and in 2022, we will open our extraction company all under The Green Toad umbrella. Since we opened up in Metter Georgia, we received first in class support from the City, County, Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Southern University, local businesses and local farms.
Our success has been a direct result of the support from the community and businesses. We have infused hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the community, we have created over 25 jobs and plan on building our corporate headquarters in downtown Metter which will ultimately create hundreds of jobs. We have to retail dispensary locations with plans to open 2-4 more locations in 2022. Our goal is to be in 1000 major retail locations across the country in 1000 days and to make our brand and LOGO a household name associated with medicinal hemp cannabis wellness. We currently grow on our farm indoor and outdoor as well as we consult and help other farmers to get thru the process to get their cultivation license. Our mission is simple, to become the biggest black-owned Hemp Cannabis company delivering the finest quality products in the world. We currently have The Worlds Largest Joint Bar in our dispensaries where we offer over 30 types of HEMP CBD/ Delta8 and delta ten pre-rolls that’s certified Georgia Grown. We also offer tours, consultation and educational programs for consumers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been very challenging due to hard to get funding, constant changing regulations and changing consumer’s perceptions of Hemp getting them the right information and educating them on the medicinal superiority of the Hemp plant.

We are a Hemp CBD cultivation, manufacturing, white label, high volume packaging, and dispensary retail company.
