Exploring Life & Business with Ryan Hamilton of F45 Training East Cobb

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Hamilton.

Hi Ryan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In the summer of 2020, I had lost my job. Was feeling the full weight of the lockdowns and really wanted to get back into shape. I started taking some classes at the F45 Training in Sandy Springs. I immediately saw that is was the best group fitness program I had ever experienced (I have tried them all!). After speaking with my wife, I decided to use my life savings to start my own F45! I signed my franchise agreement on my 45th birthday (F45 when I turned 45). 10 months later I was opening the studio and launching my own business!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not a smooth road at all. There were complications related to the pandemic in getting the studio built. I have spent my career in corporate America, so being a small business owner has been a bit of crucible. Not only managing the day-to-day but the bigger picture stuff. Bottom line is I know we are helping people feel better every day, which is what I love.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about F45 Training East Cobb?
F45 Training is the fastest-growing fitness concept worldwide. The program is customizable for anyone, so it is totally accessible to any fitness level or age. When you work out at F45 you will always be improving. The program constantly changes and forces your body to adapt, so that you never plateau and you can’t “mail it in” on a workout. Not only that but the community is unbelievable. People supporting one another. No competition, just support and encouragement. When you come to F45 Training East Cobb, you are part of the family!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
First of all my wife and kids. Their support has been unwavering even through some big ups and downs. Plus it was a huge risk. I also think that my head trainer – Nicole Eliason – deserves a ton of credit for F45 Training East Cobb. She and I have known each other for almost 15 years and she has been a huge influence on me from a fitness perspective.
