Exploring Life & Business with Sky Coffee of Xtreme Talent & Entertainment Company, Xtreme Talent School of Arts (Nonprofit), Kids Got Talent, Vehicle Rental Business, and Airbnb Short-Term Rental Business

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sky Coffee.

Hi Sky, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and my journey began at the age of 14 through choreography and dance. What started as a creative outlet quickly became my purpose. Dance opened doors for me into music videos, magazines, fashion shows, and television, and it taught me discipline, storytelling, and how to command a stage. These skills continue to guide me today.

As my career grew, I had the opportunity to perform across the country at concerts, festivals, award shows, and major events, sharing stages with artists such as Mya, Brandi, Tyrese, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, James Brown, and Charlie Wilson. Along the way, I earned recognition for my work, including being named Mississippi’s Best Female Dancer of the Year at the Dirty South Hip Hop and R&B Awards. These moments validated the grind and reinforced the importance of preparation and consistency.

In 2009, I made a pivotal move to Atlanta, Georgia, where I was presented with the opportunity to become part of a girl group under the guidance of Jonetta Patton, Usher’s mother, and AJ Alexander, the vice president of JPat Management. That experience marked a turning point in my career and opened the door to countless opportunities in music, performance, and entertainment, expanding both my network and my vision for what was possible.

My path naturally expanded beyond performing into entrepreneurship and leadership. I owned a highly successful performing arts school, Xtreme Talent School of Performing Arts, formerly known as Xtreme Dance. Under my leadership, the school became the number one performing arts school in the state of Mississippi. We received recognition from mayors, former U.S. Senator Thad Cochran, and local news outlets for our outstanding performances and community impact. The school was also awarded grants from organizations such as Sam’s Club, the Mississippi Arts Commission, and the Mississippi Arts Council. Many people compared my life as a studio owner to Jessica Alba’s character in the film Honey, as I balanced creativity, mentorship, and business leadership.

In addition to my work in the arts, I also co-owned restaurants with my former partner, which further strengthened my business acumen and understanding of operations, branding, and team management.

My career later expanded into television and production. I appeared in projects such as Meet The Browns, Single Ladies, Fast and Furious, and Real Housewives of Atlanta, which gave me valuable insight into how the entertainment industry operates behind the scenes. That exposure sparked my interest in producing, directing, and managing talent, not just being in front of the camera, but shaping the overall vision.

In 2019 and 2020, I received proclamations from the Mayors of Alpharetta and Milton, Georgia, for creating a census engagement partnership that helped increase community participation and positively impacted federal funding for schools, hospitals, roads, and public infrastructure for the next decade. This experience was pivotal, as it showed how influence, strategy, and creativity can be used to create meaningful community impact.

In 2023, I joined the main cast of season five of TLC’s sMothered, followed by an appearance on Unfaithful: Caught in the Act. Later that year, I stepped fully into my purpose behind the camera, working with Antoinette Media, MTV, and Paramount as a Talent Booker and Associate Producer across multiple productions. This role allowed me to combine my creative background with leadership, logistics, and storytelling on a larger scale.

Today, I wear many hats as a talent manager, producer, writer, director, and entertainer. At the core, I am someone who understands talent from every angle. I have been the performer, the entrepreneur, the creator, and the decision maker. I continue to evolve, build, and grow, guided by the same passion I had at 14, now strengthened by experience, vision, and impact.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road at all. If you’ve watched parts of my real life story on TLC’s sMothered, you already know that I became a teenage mother at a very young age. I was 14 when I got pregnant and 15 when I had my child. I did not grow up with a silver spoon, and I faced real-life challenges early on that forced me to mature quickly. Still, I was determined to create a better life for myself and my family.

I have always dreamed big and believed in the power of faith and manifestation. My mother and grandmother instilled in me that if you seek God and pray with intention, He will give you the desires of your heart. Everything I once prayed for and envisioned eventually came to fruition, not overnight, but through persistence, discipline, and belief.

The entertainment industry can be extremely cutthroat. I have experienced betrayal, manipulation, and moments where people attempted to take advantage of my ambition and work ethic. You have to develop tough skin in this industry, or it will consume you. While those experiences were challenging, they also strengthened me.

I believe I was built for this path. I may have been knocked down a time or two, but I always got back up and never allowed setbacks to overpower my purpose. I may present as feminine, but I think strategically, make firm decisions, and wear the pants when necessary. I carry the mindset of a leader, a true boss, and I am not intimidated by anyone. I know who I am, what I bring to the table, and I stand confidently in it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Xtreme Talent & Entertainment Company, Xtreme Talent School of Arts (Nonprofit), Kids Got Talent, Vehicle Rental Business, and Airbnb Short-Term Rental Business?
The name of my business and organization is Xtreme Talent & Entertainment Company, located in Atlanta, Georgia. I also operate Xtreme Talent School of Arts, a nonprofit performing arts organization, along with additional ventures in vehicle rentals and Airbnb short-term rentals.

Xtreme Talent & Entertainment Company is a full-service talent agency and management company specializing in talent development, representation, and bookings for major television productions, commercials, brand partnerships, and entertainment opportunities. We work closely with networks, production companies, and brands to place talent in high-visibility projects while also guiding them strategically through their careers. What sets us apart is that we do not just manage talent on paper. We develop them holistically. I bring firsthand experience as a performer, television personality, casting associate producer, and talent booker, which allows me to prepare clients for both the creative and business sides of the industry.

Xtreme Talent School of Arts is a nonprofit organization and performing arts school that offers instruction in dance, music, modeling, and acting through both virtual programming and in-person locations. Through this organization, we also produce Kids Got Talent, one of the largest youth talent showcases in the South. This platform gives young performers the opportunity to showcase their gifts in front of celebrities and industry professionals, opening doors to mentorship, exposure, and real opportunities. Community impact, education, and access are at the core of everything we do.

What truly sets my brands apart is authenticity and lived experience. I have been on every side of the industry as a performer, business owner, producer, and executive. I understand talent because I was talent. I understand production because I work behind the scenes. That dual perspective allows me to lead with integrity, strategy, and intention.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of building platforms that create opportunity rather than exploitation. Whether it is managing talent, producing showcases, or creating educational spaces for young artists, my focus is always on longevity, protection, and purpose. I want readers to know that my brands are rooted in empowerment, structure, and real results. Everything I build is designed to open doors, elevate voices, and create sustainable success, not just momentary visibility.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, the entertainment industry will become increasingly creator-driven, with talent taking more control over their careers, content, and brands. Traditional gatekeepers will matter less as streaming platforms and digital media continue to open doors for independent voices and authentic storytelling.

My impact in this shift is centered on talent development and protection. I focus on building long-term careers by educating talent on both the creative and business sides of the industry, helping them move strategically rather than chasing short-term exposure. Through my agency and nonprofit platforms, I am committed to creating access, ownership, and real opportunities, especially for emerging and youth talent. My goal is to help shape an industry that values sustainability, integrity, and empowerment.
