Hi Sonia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2011, I suddenly landed in the hospital and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (UC). My life as I knew came to a standstill. I could no longer be an active participant in helping my husband with our jewelry store. After struggling with a few years with different medications and their side effects, I found the SCD diet. It is the Specific Carbohydrate Diet by Elaine Gottschall. This diet helped me and I have been med-free, for the last 10 years.

I am sincerely excited to share my treats and healthy, delicious baked goods with everyone. Eating healthy should never mean sacrificing taste and ease! All our products are always gluten, grain free & dairy free!!

When it comes to ingredients, we only use all-natural, mostly organic ingredients. No preservatives. No fillers. No gums. No food colors. No artificial sweeteners. No hidden ingredients…..period.

We are growing and are thankful to be in stores around Atlanta and we ship nationwide! We sincerely wish everyone health & happiness!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a food business with no prior experience has been challenging and a learning experience. We had to figure out all the different licenses needed, being able to scale our recipes, purchasing ingredients in bulk and making sure our delicious baked goods reached customers in optimum condition. These were all time consuming but the most challenging has been to figure out packaging and keeping costs down despite rising costs and supply chain issues. We are working to keep everything in stock for the upcoming Holiday season!

My husband and I ran fine jewelry stores successfully for over 16 years. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and being hospitalized for 3 weeks in ICU, it caused me to rethink the way I was eating and change my diet. While on this diet, I regained my health back but missed cakes & cookies. I created Sincerely, BY PARYANI to fill the void in the marketplace. Our baked goods are always gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free & refined sugar-free. Paryani foods began as a passion project for people with limited diets and health concerns. Our goal is to cater to individuals who are mindful of what they eat and where their food comes from. At Paryani Foods, we know that food is an important part of the celebration of life, and for many with health issues, limited diets, illnesses, or preferences it can be hard to find ready-made foods that are affordable, available, nutritious and free from grains, dairy, artificial colors and more. We aim for our customers to feel good about their choices after they eat our desserts.

I started Sincerely, BY PARYANI because I was passionate about helping people with autoimmune conditions, dietary issues, food intolerances, food sensitivities and more. It has been a challenging experience. It’s a whole new world of learning how to bake without gluten and grain in large quantities, package, store and ship. It has been rewarding too, to hear testimonies from people who are thankful to have found ready to eat nutritious treats free from gums, fillers, food colors and preservatives. Seeing the excitement on the faces of my customers, from the youngest to the oldest is proof that we’re making a difference. The emails, text messages, and reviews really brighten my days and all the struggle feels worth it!
