Exploring Life & Business with Tai Taylor of MomWifeBossLife

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tai Taylor.

Hi Tai, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started MomWifeBossLife after giving birth to my second child. As a mom of a school-aged child, I definitely underestimated the toll adding to our family would have on me both physically and mentally. At the same time, I had just been promoted to a leadership role, and things were hard!!

When I shared my struggles with my partner and friends, and family, I was repeatedly told that this was normal and would pass. Spoiler Alert, it did not pass. So I did what many people do when they think they are failing at something. I tried harder. I tried to be the best mother, wife, and leader that I could possibly be, and I lost myself in the process.

I neglected my own needs, I neglected my body, and I began to fall apart. When I ended up in the hospital for exhaustion, anxiety, and depression, I knew something had to change. I started doing some research. I knew there had to be a better way, and as I started learning new strategies and coping mechanisms, I began to share them with friends and family via social media. Through doing this, I realized how many moms have the same experiences.

Through MWBL, I’ve created a safe space to encourage and inspire other moms while sharing the highs and lows of this Mom, Wife, Boss, Life. I love sharing strategies, tips, and motivation for other moms who would otherwise suffer in silence.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The most challenging part of building a business and brand meant to inspire and motivate moms is remembering to take my own advice. I am of service in every aspect of my life, and MomWifeBossLife is no exception, so I always have to remind myself to be fully present and take care of myself in the same ways that I instruct my clients to take care of themselves. I’m known for telling moms to #doitanyway, and that remains my mantra for life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about MomWifeBossLife?
I’m proud to say that I have spent almost two decades as a middle school teacher and School Leader. As a career educator, I often found myself sharing strategies and routines with my student’s parents to help them find more balance in their lives. As an Assistant Principal, 50% of my job was dedicated to teacher development and taking on both an instructional coach & a life coach role in their lives.

Through, MomWifeBossLife, a platform for women trying to juggle motherhood, marriage, and career, I use those same skills to help moms of all backgrounds and circumstances. As their mentor, I show moms how to ditch the juggling act and live in their purpose. Through a system of routines, wellness rituals, & time-management strategies, I provide moms with actionable steps and support to live a more happy & balanced life.

What makes you happy?
I love this question, I’m a bit of an introvert, so when I’m not spending time with my family or a very intimate group of friends, you can find me at a local coffee shop, bookshop, or park reading and just enjoying the moment. I LOVE to travel and spend a lot of time either on vacation or planning my next one. Also, I love a nice glass of wine.
