Exploring Life & Business with Tanisha Mackin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanisha Mackin.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started when my husband was tragically killed on our one year wedding anniversary in what was known as the worst crime in Buffalo, NY history. After his murder, I poured all my energy and heart into writing, something I always had a passion for. My first book did so well that I continued to write nine more books and co-authored in several different books. After the success of my books, I was asked by several people to help publish their books and that is when I started my publishing company. Eventually, I started ghostwriting for my clients that did not have time or the energy to write a book. January 1, 2022, I released my first fiction book and I am excited about my new journey in fiction.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like any other entrepreneur starting a company could be so hard, especially finding a team which was one of my obstacles. I had to realize that I am unable to do everything on my own. Having a great team will help your company grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am an author, ghostwriter and publisher. I ghostwrite and publish books for my clients. We assist clients with sharing their stories through writing. What sets my company apart from others is, we listen to our clients and we work side by side with them to make sure that their stories are being told through their voices. We are proud of making several of our client’s bestselling authors.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor and networking are great ways to meet like-minded people. I have a great mentor who assists me when I need help, advise and mentoring. We do not know everything, so it helps to have a mentor that can help you see things from a different perspective. Networking with others can help you to meet potential clients and learn about other services and products that other people may offer.
