Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiany Morales Irizarry.
Hi Tatiany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been drawn to music for as long as I can remember — it’s always been my first love and something I could rely on to express myself. Over the years, I’ve built a well-rounded background in the industry, from running my own marketing business and managing artists to creating my own music. My journey really took off when I decided to study Music Business at Middle Tennessee State University after being inspired by my old drum technician who studied the same field.
At MTSU, I joined the student-run label, Match Records, as part of the artist management team, where I learned valuable lessons about consistency, collaboration, and the inner workings of artist development. During my junior year, I moved to Atlanta to dive deeper into the music scene and gained hands-on experience working with Atlantic Records. Around that time, my Co-CEO and I started building our marketing company from the ground up — taking client calls, learning the ropes of sales and strategy, and perfecting the art of pitching and relationship-building.
Each step along the way has reinforced a few key values for me: hard work, consistency, and sacrifice. Those principles have shaped not only my career but also the way I approach every creative and professional opportunity.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but I’ve learned that growth often comes from being uncomfortable. There have been plenty of challenges along the way. Not every client wanted to take the phone call, not every song I wrote was great, and not everyone took me seriously, especially early on. Building credibility in the music industry takes time, persistence, and thick skin.
There were moments of doubt, long nights balancing multiple roles, and times when I questioned whether all the effort was worth it. But those experiences taught me resilience and patience. Every setback forced me to refine my approach, improve my craft, and trust the process. I learned that rejection isn’t personal — it’s just redirection toward something better.
The road hasn’t been easy, but I’m grateful for it. Each obstacle has shaped me into someone more grounded, confident, and capable of turning challenges into opportunities.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I think luck has definitely played a role, but not in the traditional sense. For me, luck has often looked like being in the right place at the right time — but also being prepared when those moments came. There have been times when things didn’t go my way, or when opportunities fell through, and at first, it felt like bad luck. But looking back, those moments always redirected me toward something better.
In business and in music, timing and alignment matter just as much as effort. I’ve learned that what some people call luck usually comes from staying consistent and ready, even when things are uncertain. The “good luck” I’ve had has often been a result of hard work meeting the right opportunity — and I try to carry that mindset into everything I do with Ghoste Media and my artistry.
