Hi Teisha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My name is Teisha Reid and I am the owner of La Ritz Spa & Salon & La RitzSpa skincare. I fell in love with esthetics and started my training and career in 1995 in Jamaica west Indies. I moved to New York City in 2002 where I had to go back to school in which I studied at Christine Valmy international school of aesthetics and attain my license as an aesthetician. I then opened my own day spa in New Rochelle New York & then after 5 years Moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2009 and in 2010 opened La Ritz Spa & Salon. we have been in Conyers Georgia for 11 years. La ritz spa & salon is a full-day spa in which we offer different types of facials, massages detoxes, tightening & toning services waxing Brazilians, Micro-Needling, Derma planning, all the advanced trendy facials we offer it. Our motto here at Laritz Spa/skincare is beauty *rejuvenate *maintain. We pride ourselves as being a day spa that really caters to our clients’ minds body and souls and for them to believe that they are the only person in the world in that session so making sure that they have received the right service is very important to us. We are working on expanding in the near future. Laritz Spa skincare is our product line these products are all naturally botanically based products for all different skin types and conditions, which is a great extension of our spa.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been smooth! It was hard moving from New York City to Georgia. The price points were different meaning the cost of services was less and I had to start all over in rebuilding my clientele in which I knew no one so I was definitely starting from scratch

La Ritz Spa & Salon is a Day Spa in which we offer all the facials that is out in the industry also massages, Foot Detox, cavitation infrared body treatment Permanent Makeup, Micro Blading, Micro Needling, Dermaplaning, oxygen facials Hydro facials, and a lot more. We pride ourselves for excellent customer service in which we cater to our clients to make sure that all their needs are met that is very important to us. Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My mentors are women that I’ve worked for in the past from Jamaica to New York so my mentors were always business owners themselves I find myself now the mentoring for my employees in assisting them in whatever area that they would like to be a lot more confident I, going to workshops and seminars is very important because you continue to learn and advance in your trade and also meeting new people who are in the same field as you and you build friendships.
