Exploring Life & Business with Tiffany and Kevin Mapps of A Taste of Miami Bartending Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany and Kevin Mapps.

Tiffany/Kevin Mapps

Hi Tiffany and Kevin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It pretty much started with me working for another company, I am always about the customers, and I just didn’t like how customers were treated so one day, I was watching tv with Kevin, and I just randomly said, “You know we can do this ourselves”. I am very much a person that just thinks of something and says “it doesn’t hurt to try, what’s the worst that can happen” We decided to name the company “A Taste of Miami” after Kevin was talking to a close friend and originally came up with the name from the idea from wanting to start a food truck business.

Once we figured out how to start the process, We realized it was doable and feasible. We jumped at the opportunity and went for it. We started marketing on Thumbtack, Bark, and Gigsalad.

“We got to where we are today because of the drive and ambition of Tiffany” – Kevin

“I personally do not want to take all the credit, but I believe we are where we are because of our employees; without them, we wouldn’t be able to take as many gigs we do.” – Tiffany

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road that’s for sure. I don’t think you will find any entrepreneur that will say their journey was smooth. There were definitely on-the-job mistakes. Being parents, having full-time jobs plus running this business seven days a week there was a no-sleep era for us, but we were determined. Trying to find the right people to put into place for different events also became a challenge at one point.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about A Taste of Miami Bartending Services?
