My journey in the landscape industry started long before Hannah Outdoor Designs ever existed—it began on the golf course.

I started my career in the golf industry, where I developed a deep appreciation for precision, detail, and how thoughtful design shapes how people experience outdoor spaces. Maintaining golf courses taught me more than just turf management—it taught me discipline, consistency, and the importance of craftsmanship in every square inch of a landscape.

From there, I transitioned into landscape maintenance, where I managed residential and commercial properties. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of how outdoor environments evolve over time—and how critical proper installation, drainage, and plant selection are for long-term success.

As my skills and passion grew, I moved into commercial landscape construction, working on large-scale build projects that demanded coordination, planning, and precision. I learned how to bring design to life on a structural level—balancing engineering with creativity.

Eventually, I found where my true passion lies: residential design and build. I wanted to work directly with homeowners to transform their spaces—taking the technical expertise I gained from golf course maintenance and commercial construction and applying it to create functional, beautiful outdoor living areas that families can enjoy every day.

That’s what led to the creation of Hannah Outdoor Designs.

Today, my team and I specialize in designing and building retaining walls, patios, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, drainage solutions, irrigation, turf, lighting, and more—all crafted with the same precision and pride I learned back on those golf course greens.

Our goal is simple:
To combine thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and dependable service to help homeowners across Metro Atlanta fall in love with their outdoor spaces.

Like most small business owners, my path in the landscape industry hasn’t been a straight line—it’s been built one lesson, one challenge, and one job at a time.

When I started Hannah Outdoor Designs, I was driven by passion and a love for creating outdoor spaces, but I quickly learned that running a successful company requires more than skill with stone and soil—it takes patience, business sense, and a lot of resilience.

In the early days, I made the same mistakes most contractors do.
I underbid projects trying to stay competitive, only to realize that craftsmanship and quality require proper pricing to be sustainable. Each tough lesson taught me the value of knowing my worth and delivering a product that reflects it.

Then came the weather delays—those unpredictable Georgia rainstorms that stop a job in its tracks. I learned how to plan smarter, communicate better with clients, and stay flexible without compromising on deadlines or quality.

There were long days, late nights, and times when I had to learn as I went—researching, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in real time to make sure every project was completed the right way. Every challenge pushed me to grow as a leader, builder, and business owner.

But those struggles shaped who I am today—and built the foundation for what Hannah Outdoor Designs has become: a company grounded in integrity, craftsmanship, and genuine care for our clients.

Now, when I walk through a completed backyard, patio, or outdoor kitchen, I see more than just stone and soil—I see years of hard work, growth, and lessons learned the honest way.
