Michelle, we loved learning your story, but I think our audience is going to appreciate learning about the product side of your story as well. So, maybe you can help bring everyone up to speed?
Every year we are delighted to offer our Southern Holiday Pie Sampler! The pie sampler consists of four of our best-selling 5inch pies. The flavors include our southern pecan, sweet potato, buttermilk, and chocolate chess pies. Its beautifully packaged to serve as a gift or to keep for yourself. We also ship!

The inspiration for this package derived from customers who wanted a pie, but had difficulty choosing just one, or they wanted to send a nice gift to a parent or friend but was not sure of their taste. Instead of being forced to choose, we decided to give the gift of variety of our best sellers. The customers love the packaging, and they absolutely loved the various flavors.
Once we saw how successful it was, we decided to make this offer available every holiday season and offer variations of it throughout the year.

What’s been the most exciting part of the journey of taking this product from idea to real life?
The most exciting part of the journey was trying various products that would give the best variety of what we wanted to offer. It was making sure we had a combined product that reflected our motto, “Sweet, Savory, and Southern.” It was then a treat to mail the finished product to various customers, family, and friends to get their feedback. From presentation to durability during the shipping process, to preservation of freshness. Getting the feedback helped us develop something that we are proud of and made our customers so happy! Seeing the happiness of the customer was the result and that still excites me.

How do most people hear about your product?
We primarily market and sell this product through our company website and through our social media platforms. We also sell this product on our partner websites.

What’s next on the product or brand roadmap?
The next item on the roadmap is to expand the brand using digital products. We are creating a catalog of digital content consisting of instructional information, recipes, best practices, and an introduction into ecommerce for food entrepreneurs. We hope through this new opportunity we can expand our brand and increase revenue that we hope to use to create food spaces for new entrepreneurs to create and build future businesses as we have done.

We also hope to create a space to address food insecurity in our communities.
