Hi Aaliyah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since a child, I have always been into the latest fashion. I studied fashion and would always love taking a simple outfit and turning it into something major. I then got to college and realized I could not work for anyone else any longer! I wanted to use that energy and build my own legacy and that is where the idea of Solid Styles Boutique came from.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road for me! The hardest thing is figuring everything out on your own. You need to know the proper documentation you need to make your business legal, finding proper clothing vendors, branding yourself, picking clothing that will sale and also maintaining a good look for your brand.
We’ve been impressed with Solid Styles Boutique, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I chose the name Solid Styles Boutique because any clothing you buy from my boutique is guaranteed to be stylish. I do everything on my own while working full time and being a full-time college student and this is what I am most proud of!
