Today we’d like to introduce you to Adele Wang
Hi Adele, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I learned the very hard way that life is not supposed to be an endless self-improvement project, but I had to almost die before I figure it out. For many years, I was stuck in trying to “figure things out” so much that my brain was literally having a meltdown. Even though I was very successful in Atlanta’s IT scene on the outside, I had to hit rock bottom on the inside before I finally gave up on the constant self-improvement that was only making me more neurotic and dissatisfied with myself. The harder I tried, the worse I felt. In fact, I tried many things, including deep psychology and spiritual development, and although I learned many interesting things, I now know their limits and what does not work for many people, and why people get really frustrated and discouraged. It’s why I do what I do now –I now share what did work for me. It’s time for a different dance in how we do this thing called life. Especially now, given that the world is going through more change than ever before! I am very good at helping professionals escape the trap of stress, anxiety, loneliness and disconnection. To do this, in addition to my mentorship work with clients, I added an AI Advisory because I these tools will be key to helping clients in many ways moving forward. I think this unique combination of inner growth and AI, though new, will be essential in the coming future as the nature of work and what it means to be human will be changing.
Much to discuss, we can cover more in our conversation.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
OMG, no, not smooth at all. I almost didn’t make it. Many successful people look great on the outside but feel as empty and confused as I was on the inside. I had several “rock bottom” moments that included a public humiliation, a period of such intense depression that I don’t remember what I did, and I had to really dig deep into why I was here on the planet at all. I had no concept of who I was or why I was here. And I did not know that I did not know. I just knew I felt miserable, no matter what I tried. Until I did find a way out, which was not what I expected at all. I believe that some of the obstacles came from misunderstandings that come from pop psychology on “success” and “manifestation”. I also had no concept of embodiment or living a more sensual life, and that was a huge blind spot for me. Relationships were also very limited, even though I was always around lots of people. I cover this a lot with clients because they are confused too. And they have no one to discuss these kinds of things with.
We’ve been impressed with Adele Wang Enterprises, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in stress reduction and leadership mentoring for professionals and business owners. My approach is different than typical coaching because I do not focus that much on “mindset” and negative beliefs. Although those things can be useful, I am much more interested in reconnecting people back to their natural sensuality, aliveness, and ability to engage with other people without being energetically drained. IN this way, I get results much faster than people typically do, with standard personal or business coaching. I am also effective with people who have not gotten the results they want with conventional therapy, or sometimes the therapy has reached a point where people want something new. Typically my clients are well-educated, sensitive, and wanting to tap into their full potential, personally and professionally. I believe that the personal life and the business life must work together for people to create the fulfilling life they want. Livelihood is usually more personal than people give it credit for. I am the only leadership consultant that works with the personal and the potential of AI to help people create what they want, faster, better and more easily, and in this regard I believe I am unique. Yet I think this is the direction our world is moving into. Spiritual inquiry becomes important as well. I offer private mentorship, group programs and ongoing advisory work. I am also the only guide that focuses a lot on embodiment so that people develop more stamina to handle their relationships with more ease, and to go for what they really want in their lives/businesses. I work with people locally and on Zoom with people around the world.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
There was a field behind our house where I would hang out to play with butterflies, hear the crickets and sit amidst the branches of trees in an apple orchard. I also absolutely loved playing with the family dog. I also enjoyed playing violin in a local youth symphony orchestra, where I was the concertmaster.
