Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Imhof.
Hi Alexa , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been the Studio Manager at Pure Barre Suwanee for a few months now, and it’s been such a rewarding experience. I’m currently a senior at Kennesaw State University, finishing up my degree in Integrated Health Science with a minor in Public Health. Health and fitness have always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely love helping others feel their best.
I actually got started with Pure Barre as a member back in January 2025. My mom had been going for almost a year and couldn’t stop raving about how great the classes and the instructors were. After watching the physical and mental changes she experienced, I had to see it for myself. Even more inspiring, after she recovered from breast cancer, one of the first things she did was get back to her Pure Barre routine. The instructors were so supportive and helped her with modifications when needed, which really meant a lot to both of us.
A few months into taking classes, I started working at the front desk as a sales associate and loved being a part of the team. When the Studio Manager position opened up in July, I jumped at the opportunity and here I am! I absolutely love the community we’ve built here. The staff is amazing, so welcoming and kind, and our members truly make this place special.
If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend trying out a class at Pure Barre! The workouts are high-intensity but low-impact, making them great for all fitness levels and ages. It’s more than just a workout, it’s a supportive and empowering space.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It honestly hasn’t been a struggle at all, thanks to the amazing support I’ve received from everyone. From day one, my team and the Pure Barre community have been incredibly helpful and welcoming. We all share the same goal: to grow the studio while helping people transform both their minds and bodies. We’re all focused on creating a supportive, empowering environment for everyone, and that’s made all the difference. It’s been a smooth journey because we’re united in our mission, and everyone genuinely cares about each other’s success.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Pure Barre Suwanee?
At Pure Barre Suwanee, we offer high-intensity, low-impact workouts that help transform both the body and mind. Our classes are designed for all fitness levels and focus on strength, flexibility, and toning, without stressing the joints. We’re known for creating a welcoming, supportive community where everyone feels encouraged and motivated.
What sets us apart is the personal connections we build. Our instructors are not only experts at what they do, but they also take the time to make sure each person feels included and supported. It’s that sense of community and empowerment that makes Pure Barre special.
I’m most proud of the positive impact we have on our members, not just physically, but mentally too. At the end of the day, we want everyone to feel stronger, more confident, and ready to take on anything.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I have to shout out my mentor, Abby Manzoni, she’s been an absolute game-changer in my journey at Pure Barre. From day one, she’s been there for me every step of the way, guiding me through challenges and helping me stay organized. She’s incredibly on top of everything and somehow manages to juggle it all, and I honestly don’t know how she does it! What I really admire is how approachable and supportive she is. She’s always happy to help, and she gets back to me super quickly, no matter what. We all look up to her for how she handles everything with such grace and efficiency. I’m beyond grateful for everything she’s taught me!
