Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Griffin.
Hi Amanda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I graduated from Shorter University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2014. I worked in the hospital for most of my nursing career in pulmonary care and critical care. In 2023 I was working as a clinical manager for a healthcare agency. I got the opportunity to train in Aesthetics with Smiley Aesthetics in Nashville. I went on a somewhat of a whim and got trained in neurotoxins and dermal fillers. Shortly after, God opened the door for me to leave my job and start my own medspa business. It was a scary move, but God had confirmed for me that this was the right leap to take and He would provide. It started with just me in a single room I had rented in a spa, with only one bottle of Botox and one box of lip filler! Over the next 2 years I built my business, A. G. Aesthetics & Wellness, and moved it to Rome, Ga where it flourished. Earlier this year, Smiley Aesthetics opened a new medspa location in Rome. I decided to fully merge with them and it has been such a blessing in this season of life. I got to hand off most of the behind-the-scenes business aspects of running a medspa, I get to work with the most amazing team and focus fully on what I love, which is helping my clients look and feel their best. My job is more than just an injector, it is my ministry. I get to pour life and love into people while helping them build their confidence by enhancing their natural beauty.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Going from being a nurse for 10+ years at the time with a background in critical care to being a business owner was a very hard switch to make in my brain. I had no business background, so there were a lot of learning curves along the way, but I leaned on my faith and the support of my husband, and kept going, I now own 2 businesses and love to help other people who want to become entrepreneurs learn that they can do it. You don’t have to have it all planned out perfectly, you just have to take that first step. It is also so critical to find a supportive community of like-minded people.

I am now part of Smiley Aesthetics. We are a medspa offering a variety of services including Botox. dermal fillers, RF microneedling, and so much more. We have a supportive network of Smiley Aesthetics locations. We make treatment plans for each client to address their individual needs and goals. Safety and compliance are top priorities.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I loved being outdoors, I spent a lot of time hunting and fishing with my dad. I watched my dad build his own business in industrial mechanics and got to be a part of that which was inspiring.
