Hidden Gems: Meet Andrew of Corrective Chiropractic Woodstock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew.

Hi Andrew, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our Woodstock location was opened in 2018, and we’ve been proud to serve the Townelake community with excellent Chiropractic care ever since. Dr. Andrew has been in practice for 15 years, and specializes in a number of chiropractic techniques. He most recently took his certification exam for an adjusting skill called Torque Release Technique, or TRT. “It’s really more about connecting the client to the method that is going to work best, and give them the best results”, says Dr. St Bernard. “For our clients who would rather not have their neck or back ‘popped’, TRT is a fantastic protocol to use”. The TRT model uses an instrument called an Integrator, and is very gentle on the patient. “I’ve seen clients with headaches multiple times a week, reduce to none at all using this method”.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not unlike any other business, we have had our share of challenges. COVID was an incredibly difficult season for us, but we managed to thrive through it. One of the biggest struggles to overcome recently was when Dr. Andrew became the patient. In November 2020, he started to have symptoms of a neurological nature. Normally, a case like his would have resolved with the kind of conservative treatment he offers his clients, however, after months of chiropractic, physical therapy, and other conservative treatments, he was not improving, but instead gradually worsening. Due to the declining nature of his condition, he opted for surgery, but still to no avail. It wasn’t until 4 years later that he was finally diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s disease. He has had to pivot, and modify the manner in which he adjusts his clients, but he is determined to slow the progression, and help inspire and encourage others who may be facing similar challenges. “Keeping my story to myself doesn’t help anyone”, he says. “I will continue to practice chiropractic and give everything I have to my clients, until I’m no longer able to do so.”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in helping our clients find the cause of their health concerns, and develop action plans to resolve their issues without the use of drugs or surgery. We’re dedicated to helping you and your family live your healthiest, most active lives. Our team of experienced doctors and wellness experts offers personalized chiropractic solutions tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that every visit brings you closer to your goals.
A chiropractic adjustment occurs when the spine is manipulated to address misalignments, imbalances, or inflammations. An adjustment helps to reduce pain, improve sleep, and prevent injury. Chiropractic care isn’t just for back pain or athletes. It works on everyone an helps to improve your overall quality of life – preventing long term degeneration that occurs from regular, day-to-day activities.
We respect and care for your body too much to adjust you the first time we meet you. Our 22 step diagnostic gives us a broad understanding of where your body is today – before we start making any changes.
We want to show you what’s going on with your body and explain what happened to create this situation before working with you to address any concerns, pains, or challenges you face.
We are a network of 19 doctors across 13 locations who are committed to continuing education and advancement. We analyze data and research from our entire practice to deliver the best possible experience and best possible results for our patients.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
This is a great question! Personally, I think risks that involve business or financial investment are worth taking because the reward could be great, and if it’s a loss it’s not the end of the world. However, risks that involve my health or that of my family or clients, are seen and handled with far more prudence and caution. This is partly why I chose Chiropractic as a profession, because of all healthcare options, we are statistically the safest.
