Hi Angelique, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began over two decades ago when I became a licensed esthetician with a passion for skincare and wellness. What started as a desire to help others feel beautiful in their own skin grew into a calling. After years of working with clients and perfecting my craft, I opened **Spa Angelique**, a skincare sanctuary rooted in results, relaxation, and radiant transformation.
As my business evolved, so did my vision. I launched **Radiant Skincare by Spa Angelique**, a product line designed to support healthy skin beyond the treatment room. I’ve also begun sharing my personal journey through my autobiography, **Ashes of Angelique**, and my podcast, **Unapologetically Radiant**, where I open up about resilience, reinvention, and the beauty of owning your story.
Everything I’ve built is grounded in the belief that healing and beauty go hand in hand—and I’m honored to continue serving my community through every chapter.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been easy, especially in a time where the skincare industry is saturated with misinformation. One of the biggest challenges has been competing with unlicensed influencers who promote trends without proper training or understanding of skin health. When I first started, there was very little accessible information about skincare—now, there’s an overwhelming amount, much of it misleading. As a result, I’ve seen people of all ages unknowingly damage their skin by following advice that isn’t right for them. It’s made my mission even more important: to educate, empower, and provide real, results-driven care backed by experience and integrity.
The economic ups and downs have definitely been challenging, especially as a small business owner. Navigating rising costs while trying to remain accessible to clients requires constant balance, adaptability, and faith.

Spa Angelique is more than a spa—it’s a sanctuary for skin and soul. We specialize in customized skincare treatments that blend results-driven techniques. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of launching **Radiant Skincare by Spa Angelique**, a medical grade skincare line developed with integrity and intention—starting with our hero product, the **Balance Cleansing Balm**. I want readers to know that everything we offer, from services to products to our upcoming podcast, **Unapologetically Radiant**, is about helping people reconnect with their natural beauty, reclaim their confidence, and radiate from the inside out.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is playing in my grandmother’s Mary Kay room—surrounded by all the pretty bottles and soft pink hues. I loved taking bubble baths at her house with Mr. Bubble, and afterward, she’d gently dust body powder all over me in her pink bathroom. It was our little ritual, and it made me feel so special and loved. Looking back, I think that’s where my love for beauty and self-care first began.
