Today we’d like to introduce you to Aren Gray

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am the founder of AG AV LLC, an Audio Visual company that focuses on integration and customization within the field of technology. This includes smart home integration, Home theatre installation, Tv mounting, Commercial and Home Networking deployments and more.

Prior to launching AG AV, my passion to understand and learn about the industry was unparalleled. I wanted to be able to master the art of technology, as well as my passion for entertainment and how it could co-exist collectively. I started working alongside my father with his business fixing computers while perfecting my love for the arts. At this point, the spark was ignited. My passion for technology and his passion for music started to develop.

Years later I decided to attend Full Sail University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree for Recording Arts in 2013. Once I graduated, I started to work within the industry. I noticed when it came to working with most companies, there was a lack of customization and care towards their clients. This opened my mind into the art of business. I decided to return back to Full Sail University where I was able to graduate in 2018 with a double Masters in Entertainment Business and Sports Management. At this point I believe was no turning back. I not only accumulated college degrees, I also gained over 50 certifications ranging between Audio Visual, Broadband, Networking, and security; not to mention, hands on experience to match.

Once I completed my Masters, I decided to start the pursuit of owning my own business whilst gaining additional knowledge through others that came before me. I think I was determine to create a business like no other. As time progressed, so did the spread of my new venture.

AG AV has grown to securing two additional business partners while expanding it’s reach in the Orlando and Atlanta market. My hope is to have this business expand to additional states around America with the help of every community that I encounter.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth road? Definitely not. Starting a business, especially on your own, comes with its fair share of challenges. The initial logistics—getting the certifications, licenses, and operations in place—were just the beginning. But once those were completed, the real challenge was in balancing everything. The physical work wasn’t the issue; it was managing the various aspects of the business—labor, payroll, taxes, estimates, collaborations, marketing, and even expanding.

At one point, balancing AG AV while working an 8-6 job became necessary. That meant juggling two worlds and constantly being on the move. Eventually, the key turning point was setting up a reliable team to handle the day-to-day operations. While that came with its own set of challenges, it ultimately allowed us to focus on growing the business and staying true to why AG AV was founded in the first place. Today, that team is a well-oiled machine, and having them in place has made all the difference.

AG AV is a high-quality systems integration company dedicated to exceeding our clients’ expectations. We specialize in automation systems, networks, security, and all things audio-visual. Whether it’s residential or commercial, we provide a wide range of services including Smart Home/Office Integration, Networking Installation and Management, TV Mounting, and Home Theater Installation. Beyond that, we also service Houses of Worship, Concerts, Festivals, Weddings, Corporate Gatherings, and more.

AG AV LLC wouldn’t be where it is today without the incredible contributions of our two business partners and co-owners, Braxton and Alexis. They are the driving forces behind the creative and operational sides of the company. From managing promotions and contracts to establishing key collaborations and creating opportunities, they’ve helped open up AG AV to serve a broader community of clients and partners in our industry. Their leadership has allowed us to expand and continuously innovate.
