Hidden Gems: Meet Ariell Alexander of ALuxeBeauti

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariell Alexander.

Hi Ariell, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I graduated from the illustrious Winston-Salem State University with a degree in Exercise Science. While I was proud of that accomplishment, I always knew deep down that I was meant to build something of my own. After college, I started a hair business, but during the pandemic the quality just wasn’t up to my standards, and I couldn’t stand behind it. That’s when I pivoted. I created my first body butter to help with my dry, sensitive skin and started sharing it with family and friends who had eczema. One of my earliest blends, infused with chamomile and lavender, not only nourished the skin but also eased stress and anxiety. My late great-grandmother used my body butters on her scars while she was battling cancer, and it helped restore her confidence. A family friend’s father with diabetes even got positive feedback from his doctor after using it on his feet. Those moments showed me I was creating something meaningful, something bigger than just skincare.

That passion turned into ALuxeBeauti, a luxury herbal-infused bodycare brand focused on healing, intention, and honesty. Every formula is made with ingredients I’ve personally researched and used. The journey hasn’t been easy. Being an introvert with social anxiety made it hard to show up at times, but I kept pushing. One of my proudest moments was showing up authentically at my first pop-up shop and connecting with people by simply being myself. ALuxeBeauti is a reflection of who I am: luxurious, intentional, and rooted in purpose. I’m continuing to grow while working toward doing this full-time and building a brand that helps others feel seen, confident, and cared for.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape me and my brand into what it is today. One of the biggest struggles has been managing my social anxiety while learning how to put myself out there. As an introvert, it’s not always easy to show up publicly, network, or even talk about my business with confidence. I’ve had to push through those fears, especially during vendor events and pop-up shops where face-to-face interaction is everything. What makes it easier is the confidence I have in my products and the encouragement I receive from customers. Just believing in myself, what I do, and what ALuxeBeauti represents has carried me a long way.

Another challenge has been navigating the financial side of growing a business. I am currently balancing ALuxeBeauti part-time while working a full-time job, so managing inventory, investing in high-quality ingredients, and staying consistent takes a lot of sacrifice and intention. There have been moments where I questioned if I was doing enough or if I was moving in the right direction. But every positive review, every return customer, and every moment of support from my family has reminded me that I am exactly where I need to be. These challenges have taught me resilience, patience, and the power of staying grounded in my purpose.

As you know, we’re big fans of ALuxeBeauti. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
ALuxeBeauti is an organic, herbal-infused bodycare brand that specializes in creating luxurious skincare products designed to nourish the body, soothe the mind, and restore confidence. We offer a growing collection of body oils and whipped hydration crèmes that are crafted with clean, high-quality ingredients and powerful botanicals. Everything we create is made with intention, from the herbs we infuse to the packaging we present.

What sets us apart is our commitment to honesty, transparency, and holistic care. We don’t just create products to smell good. We formulate them to support emotional and physical well-being. Many of our products were originally created for my loved ones with eczema, anxiety, dry skin, and even post-surgery scars. I take pride in the fact that people truly feel cared for when they use ALuxeBeauti, and I never include an ingredient I haven’t personally researched and used myself.

Our customers know us for our rich, healing textures, calming scents, and a luxe unboxing experience that feels like self-care from the moment your package arrives. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how much love and intention goes into every detail. I’ve built this from the ground up while still working full-time, and seeing people feel confident, moisturized, and glowing because of something I created means the world to me.

At its core, ALuxeBeauti is about more than just skincare. It’s about healing, confidence, and creating rituals of self-love. Whether you deal with dry skin, stress, or just need a moment to pause and care for yourself, our products are here to help you glow inside and out.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to trust the process and believe in myself, even when things feel uncertain. Building a brand from the ground up, especially while balancing a full-time job and managing life’s ups and downs, takes a lot of faith, patience, and resilience. There were times I doubted if I was doing enough or moving fast enough, but I had to learn that growth looks different for everyone.

I’ve also learned that I don’t have to do everything alone. Asking for help, seeking mentorship, and being open to learning from others has been a game changer for me. Community and connection are just as important as the product itself. Staying true to my purpose, showing up authentically, and giving myself grace along the way has helped me stay grounded and continue building a brand I’m proud of.
