Hi Asia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Asia Williams, and I started my journey in the real estate industry over 20 years ago through property management. In 2006, I formed my own company, Mo’Land Group. Initially, under Mo’Land Group LLC, I was a property manager, real estate investor, and owner of multiple properties for rent. Over time, I became a Realtor with a single, great brokerage firm where I continued to learn, grow, and advance in my career.
As I gained experience, I formed a team, pursued further education, and went back to real estate school to obtain my broker’s license. This led to me becoming an associate broker, then a productivity coach, and eventually a licensed real estate instructor. Throughout my journey, I won several awards, made it into the top 5% of sales, and remained committed to expanding my team.
Continuing to follow God’s plan for my business, I prepared myself to take the next step. At the end of 2023, I was ready to build my own brokerage firm. With my administrative team, we set our plan into motion. I opened my brokerage firm in December 2023, and by January 2024, the doors were open. Some incredible Realtors joined me right away, and we hit the ground running.
In addition to my brokerage work, I was also a radio host for my talk show segment, “The Real in Real Estate,” which grew over time. Now, I host the R’ in Real Estate podcast, where I share insights about real estate and discuss current events happening in the world.
As CEO and Broker of Asia Realty by Mo’Land Group, we are thriving, and I’m proud to say that we have 16 of the best, most knowledgeable, and amazing Realtors on our team—and we are continuing to grow!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges I face is fully running my business like a business—ensuring that it can operate efficiently without me being present at all times. As a CEO and Broker, I wear multiple hats, from leadership and mentorship to operations and growth strategy. Transitioning from being hands-on in every aspect to building systems that allow the business to function seamlessly without my constant involvement is a key focus.
Another challenge is finding and retaining the right talent. Having a strong, knowledgeable, and motivated team is crucial, and while I have amazing Realtors and staff, continuing to attract and develop top-tier professionals is an ongoing effort.
Scaling the business while maintaining the quality of service is also a challenge. As we grow, ensuring that every client receives the same level of expertise, care, and guidance requires strong systems, processes, and accountability.
Market shifts and economic changes are another obstacle. The real estate industry is always evolving, and staying ahead requires adaptability, continuous education, and strategic planning.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a brokerage that thrives independently, where my systems, leadership, and team structure allow the business to run successfully even when I’m not physically present.
