Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Johnson.
Hi Audrey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sure! I was born and raised in Senegal, and my journey has been anything but traditional. When I moved to the U.S., I came with a dream that was completely different from anyone around me. It was a huge challenge, learning a new culture, a new language, and basically starting from scratch but it taught me resilience and adaptability very early on.
My career started in project management, where I had the opportunity to work with large tech companies on complex initiatives. That experience really shaped how I think about structure, communication, and execution, skills that translate perfectly into real estate.
Over time, I realized how much I enjoy working directly with people and helping them make meaningful decisions about where they live and invest. That’s what led me into real estate. Now, I get to combine my project management background, organization, planning, and attention to detail, with my passion for guiding clients through one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m grateful for every challenge because it shaped who I am today. Moving from Senegal to the U.S. was one of the biggest transitions of my life. I arrived in a country where I didn’t know anyone, didn’t fully understand the culture, and had to learn a completely new language.
There were moments when it felt overwhelming, trying to adapt, find my footing, and prove myself in a place where everything was unfamiliar. But those challenges taught me determination, humility, and how to push forward even when things aren’t easy.
Over time, I learned to see those differences as strengths. Navigating a new culture helped me become more empathetic and open-minded, and learning a new language taught me the importance of clear communication which has been invaluable both in project management and real estate.
So while the road wasn’t smooth, it’s what gave me the grit, perspective, and confidence I rely on today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Audrey Johnson real Estate – The Agency Atlanta?
My business is all about empowerment. Helping people, especially women, see that they have choices and the power to build something lasting. I work in real estate, helping clients buy, sell, and invest in properties, but for me, it’s so much more than transactions. It’s about education, confidence, and legacy.
I come from Senegal, where opportunities often look very different, and I know what it means to start from the ground up. That’s why I’m passionate about showing women, especially those who might not see themselves represented in this industry, that they can take ownership of their financial futures. Whether it’s buying their first home, selling to move toward a new goal, or starting to invest, I want every client to walk away feeling empowered and informed.
What sets me apart is that I approach real estate like a partnership. I’m not just selling houses; I’m helping people create stability and generational wealth. I bring my background in project management and my own journey of building from scratch into every interaction with structure, strategy, and genuine care.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that people see me as someone who leads with heart and purpose. My brand represents possibility, that no matter where you start, you can build something that lasts. I want readers to know that my business isn’t just about real estate; it’s about creating a legacy and inspiring others, especially women, to know they can too.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is spending time on the beach with my family back home in Senegal. We would all gather, cousins, aunts, uncles, everyone, and share meals together while enjoying the ocean breeze. It was simple, but it was pure joy. Those moments taught me the value of connection, community, and slowing down to appreciate the people around you. Even now, that feeling of togetherness and gratitude stays with me, and it’s something I try to bring into everything I do, in life and in business.
