Hi Baheejah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started The Baby Whispering Doula out of my deep passion for supporting families. During one of the most transformative moments of their lives. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse I witnessed first hand the impact, that compassionate personalized care can have. I wanted to expanded that support beyond the hospital setting, and help families in their own home by combining my clinical expertise with my genuine love for nuturing and empowering families. I created The Baby Whispering Doula to offer comprehensive and empathy support throughout the birthing journey. My experience as a labor and delivery nurse allows me to bring an added layer of comfort and understanding to my client as I navigate both the medical and the emotional aspect of the birthing journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s not always a smooth road. Some of the struggles have been managing emotional burnout, because I often support families during intense and sometimes traumatic experiences. There’s also been the challenge of balancing the medical and emotional aspects of care, especially when working alongside medical professionals. Also the unpredictability of birth itself, which means long and irregular hours and there’s always the challenge of building trust and rapport with each family.

At The Baby Whispering Doula, my mission is to empower moms one birth at a time. Founded out of a deep passion for supporting families during one of the most transformative moments of their lives, I blend compassionate, personalized care with expert clinical knowledge. As a labor and delivery nurse, I have firsthand experience of the impact that compassionate care can make, and I wanted to extend that support beyond the hospital setting into the comfort of families’ own homes.

What sets me apart is my unique approach of combining medical expertise with genuine emotional support, ensuring that each family feels understood and empowered throughout their birthing journey. I am proud of the trust and rapport l’ve built with each family, and my commitment to empowering moms truly defines my brand.

At The Baby Whispering Doula, I offer comprehensive support tailored to each family’s unique needs. My Birth Package includes continuous support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, ensuring a nurturing and empowering birthing experience. My Cesarean Package is designed to provide specialized support for families undergoing a C-section, offering comfort and guidance both pre- and post-surgery.

In addition, I offer a variety of additional add-ons upon request, such as lactation consultations, breastfeeding support, and postpartum wellness sessions. Each service is crafted to meet the individual needs of the family, ensuring a holistic and supportive experience.
