Hidden Gems: Meet Bethany Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Jones.

Bethany Jones

Hi Bethany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as long as I can remember, I have had two great loves: design and planning. After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science, I began a career in healthcare operations and consulting. Working in that field for twelve years helped me hone my strong attention to detail and my expertise in project management.

In 2017, my husband and I began our own journey home as we built a house at the Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, GA. That experience gave me insight into the practical side of the art form that I loved and became the launching pad for my interior design business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it’s been completely smooth, but does starting and running your own business really ever come without challenges? This has definitely been one of those “build the plane while you’re flying it” experiences, and there have been many moments of realizing I didn’t know what I didn’t know if that makes sense. But those are the experiences that make you better, and I have been very fortunate to have supportive people around me who have helped lift me up, shared their wisdom, and cheered me on.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a full-service interior design studio creating modern, timeless homes in South Atlanta and the surrounding communities. Our aesthetic is filled with light and life, and we love serving busy families who value an elevated client experience. We accept full-service furnishing, new construction, and remodel projects, as well as offer smaller-scale, single-room design, and design concierge services.

I believe two things set us apart from others: our client experience and our process. It is our goal to exceed expectations on every single project, not only with how the design is executed but how we make our clients feel while working with us.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is our approachability. From the outset, I wanted BJI to be a studio that offers a luxury service in a non-pretentious way. From the moment they engage with us, I want potential clients to see we are a professional, well-run interior design business, AND we could be their designer besties at the same time. Both can be true in my opinion.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Oh gosh, I’m not sure I can pick just one! As I think through all of the possible answers to this question, there is one common thread. Simplicity. Whether it was going to church with my Nonnie on Sunday mornings, my dad taking my brother and me to Dunkin Donuts on his days off from work, or Easter egg hunting every year with my cousins, I realized all of the small, simple memories are the ones that stand out to me the most.
