Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Jones-Mack.
Hi Brandy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My mother was a 40 years hairstylist. I grew up in the salon. Playing with the chairs, Playing with mannequins. Playing with curlers. For years I fought against joining the beauty industry. With a strong unction to join, I finally said yes. I had just started a new job and received two raises when this unction came. I was one of the top agents on the team but I had to follow what I felt. The company had just gotten rid of part-time employees but because of my performance, they created a position for me to go to school. I eventually left my job to complete beauty school. Everything has gone up from there. I am now a salon owner of BJM Hair Revival, salon mentor, Certified life, Professional, and Christian coach, Certified Hair Loss Practitioner, I have also started my own hair care line. I will soon be implementing a Salon mentor program for new graduates of the beauty profession.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not. My biggest hurdle was learning to embrace the legacy my mother left. Then finding my own way in the beauty profession. I also had to learn financial, proper marketing and pinpointing my brand. How did I fit in this industry? Also, being able to trust other beauty profession because I had seen a lot of the negative side of the industry growing up.

Brandy is the Founder and Salon Owner of BJM Hair Revival. As well as a Certified Hair Loss Care Practitioner and Certified Clinical Trichologist. She is also a Certified Life, Professional, and Christian Coach. BJM Hair Revival is a Full-Service hair salon located at 410 E Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29302, the heart of downtown Spartanburg, SC. BJM Hair Revival is a place of restoration and revitalization. With the skills and experience of our friendly staff, our mission is to rebuild, restore, and revitalize client’s hair back to its original integrity. We specialize in finding the why in client’s hair loss discovery, healthy hair care, natural hair texture, and transitional development. We also offer makeup application, hair extensions, coloring, texture elongation and smoothing treatments for relaxer-free hair and more!
