Hidden Gems: Meet Britney Harris of Bolst Real Estate- The Justin Landis Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britney Harris.

Hi Britney, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m not one of those people who was born knowing exactly what they wanted to be or do. I’ve just always known that I enjoy working with others to accomplish what’s important to them. That passion for serving others led me down multiple career paths and interests throughout the years. I have a background in sales management, insurance, financial advising, and personal coaching, filled with twists and turns! I learned much in all of these fields, but knew that none of them would fulfill me long term. Thankfully real estate found me at the time that I needed it the most. I was a new mother, a new wife, and desperately wanted a career I could build on my own terms while remaining as present as possible for my little family. I knew that in order for my career to be worthwhile, it had to be purposeful, flexible, and offer uncapped growth. Real estate is all of those things, plus many more! What I love about the real estate industry is that if you’re a hungry, highly-skilled agent who’s ready to put in the necessary work…there’s a seat for you at the table and success will come. It still blows my mind that my job is to help my clients fulfill their dream of homeownership, and all of the added benefits that come with that. I love what I do and I’m grateful to get to do it!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to becoming a high producing realtor is not necessarily smooth. Like other flavors of entrepreneurship, real estate requires a lot of upfront input before you start to see real results. There are many long days, late nights, and time spent that doesn’t immediately yield income. My advice to anyone considering real estate as a career is to have a financial plan in place. Have a cushion to get you through the first few months as you build your business. You’ll want to invest in your business early on to accelerate growth, and you also need to eat and keep the lights on. As you wait for your first sale, trust the process, know your “why,” and let that be the thing that pushes you forward when it’s otherwise undesirable to keep going. When I have hard days in my business, what keeps me going is knowing that someone out there is praying for a realtor who genuinely cares about getting them to the closing table, and doing so with integrity. I pray to be an answer to that person’s prayer. That is why I must keep going, regardless of whatever struggles or obstacles present themselves along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Bolst Real Estate- The Justin Landis Group?
As a REALTOR, I learned very quickly that while there are tons of real estate brokerages to choose from, not all are built the same. Thankfully, I connected with a brokerage, and a team within that brokerage, that upholds values and beliefs compatible to my own. Simply put, Bolst believes in housing for everyone. We don’t just talk about it; we are actually doing the work. In between selling homes, you’ll find my team and I working toward are a reduction in homelessness, more affordable housing, and increasing home ownership in underserved communities. When it comes to helping clients achieve homeownership, there is as much intrinsic reward as there is financial gain. The results that my clients and I achieve together will echo through generations to come.

My goal is for everyone who desires to buy, sell, or leverage real estate as a wealth-building tool to have information, access, and unbarred opportunity. If someone has the desire to be a homeowner, I want to be the one to help them make home happen.

Clients who choose to work with me feel informed, empowered, confidently in control, and deeply satisfied with their real estate journey. I believe my work is complete when (and only when) that is accomplished!

What matters most to you?
My faith matters most to me, because it is my foundation and the motivating force behind literally everything I do. My faith influences how I pour into my marriage, how I mother my child, how I serve my clients and community, and ultimately how I show up in the world. My relationship with Jesus is the most important thing.
