Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Several years ago, I found myself naturally helping people think through decisions and navigate what to do next. Friends, colleagues, and even acquaintances would come to me to brainstorm, process challenges, and gain clarity. It became clear that this wasn’t accidental—it was a gift and a calling. At times, it felt like I had a sign on my forehead that read, “Tell me your problems,” and I welcomed it. I genuinely enjoyed supporting others and rising to the challenge of helping them move forward.
As I reflected on this pattern, I realized there was a name for what I had been doing all along: coaching. With a professional background in Human Resources, many of those conversations centered on career decisions, which often overlapped with life transitions and personal growth. That realization led me to formally step into the work by becoming a Certified Career & Life Coach.
Today, I support individuals—primarily women—as they navigate complex career and life transitions, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and direction. I am currently preparing for ICF accreditation, deepening my commitment to professional, ethical, and transformative coaching.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth. I experienced several career pivots of my own, and each one further prepared and equipped me to do the work I love—helping others confidently navigate their own career transitions.

McLain Career & Life Coaching was created to support professionals—primarily women—who are navigating career transitions, life changes, or moments of uncertainty and reinvention. The work I do sits at the intersection of career strategy, personal growth, and purpose. I help clients gain clarity, confidence, and direction so they can make intentional decisions about what’s next in both their careers and their lives.
With a professional background in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Career Development, I specialize in helping individuals manage career pivots, workplace transitions, leadership growth, and identity shifts that often accompany professional change. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next step—and leave with a clear plan, renewed confidence, and practical strategies they can immediately apply.
What sets my work apart is the blend of real-world corporate experience and professionally trained coaching. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all advice or surface-level motivation. Instead, I create a supportive, structured space where clients can unpack limiting beliefs, align their values with their goals, and take meaningful action. My approach is compassionate yet strategic, grounded in lived experience and ethical coaching practices.
