Hidden Gems: Meet Caleb Kutsche of Incline Performance Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Kutsche.

Hi Caleb, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I was 9 years old I knew I wanted to help baseball players recover from injuries. I played baseball at Lassiter High School and East Cobb and then went on to play baseball in college at Columbus State University. After pitching 4 years there, and getting my Bachelors in Health Science, I went on to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Out of school, I went to work for a big physical therapy company, but I always wanted to focus on baseball players and help them perform at a high level. Now, at my clinic in Woodstock, I help baseball players maximize their God-given abilities, by helping them get healthy and stay healthy throughout their career.

I am married to an amazing bride and I have two young kids. Life is busy, but ultimately rewarding for the work that gets put in.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m fairly young in my entrepreneurship journey, and I’m not sure the road has ever been smooth. I’m not sure it ever will be smooth, and that’s okay. To me, if things get easy, I am probably not pushing myself to provide the best service to my clients.

When I first started out, I thought I would just work normal hours and see patients and go home. Little did I know, working with clients would basically take 10% of my time, and the other 90% would be spent performing all the back-end work to make sure each person has a great experience.

I lost my corporate job at one point, and was forced to go all in on my business. It was a really hard time, where I wasn’t sure if we would be able to make it financially. Looking back, it was probably the time God grew me the most! I had to figure out how to make the business actually function and how to keep it afloat to provide for my family. Ultimately, it’s all about providing the best service and best experience.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Incline Performance Therapy?
We help baseball players maximize their God-given abilities by helping them get healthy and stay healthy throughout their career.

We provide performance based physical therapy for baseball players and other athletes. We take key strength and mobility metrics, that correlate with injury risk, and we correct those to keep the athlete performing at a high level. Once imbalances are corrected, we layer on performance training to take them beyond their prior ability to achieve their next goal.

Our rehab and training services are all one-on-one, which allows us to provide the highest quality service for our rehabbing and performance athletes. Our focus is on the person in front of us!

What’s next?
Building the business to provide the highest service for rehabbing baseball players and performance athletes. I would love to incorporate video analysis for pitching mechanics to be used following injuries. We would be able to correct movement issues early in the rehab process so the athlete could train with proper form.
