Hi Capodei, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Capodei Capi a Rap Artist & Small Business owner/ Entrepreneur . My journey to Entrepreneurship began after serving a prison sentence and being released in 2012 . My decision was based on the fact that convicted felons are less likely to be hired for good paying jobs due to background checks .Society is prejudice
Against people with criminal histories.Therefore I took it upon myself to take negativity and turn into positivity . This was one of the best decisions of my life .The journey was rough no one gave me a chance everyone turned their backs on me and I needed to support my children. I then took the initiative to enroll in college were I obtained a bachelors degree in Business Entrepreneurial Studies . I used my remainder funds from my student loans to begin my first company ROMS which stands for Reezy OnSite Mechanic Service which is similar to AAA .This company earned me $150,000 the first full year of business . The idea arose from my previous automotive background being that I am also an ASE certified Automotive Technician in which I worked for Daimler Chrysler before doing time . I also am the owner of
Gemiare which is a branded clothing line and website (www.Gemiare.store) & a Family clothing store not only only but a physical location in Miami , FL & Capodei Entertainment LLC. Which is my Entertainment company . I have multiple businesses.Including Capodei Management Services which trains and assist people with Budgeting , Financial literacy , Loans , Grants , Affordable Housing and Business Taxes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve been homeless & slept in my car it was a S500 Mercedes though so the seat were comfortable. For three months in the summer because I was saving my money to purchase a home with cash. With the money earned from my company. Everyone talked about me behind my back saying I was lying about buying a home etc. I had no real friends except a couple and no one really supported my dreams or helped me achieve my goals. I had to have faith in Allah and believe in myself. I really have never had a support system the people around me seem to point out my flaws and blast my failures Loud and whisper about my achievements. It’s lonely when you are trying to achieve a goal because so many people wanted me to fail. In the black community, we tend to feed of negativity instead of uplifting each other and it is depressing and discouraging. When I came home from prison, I had no money, no car, no house, no friends. I was starting completely over but that was in Allahs plan because I elevated without help.

Capodei Entertainment is a company based in Atlanta, GA. The companies promotes live concerts, events, Artist Promotions, Artist Management, etc. What sets my company apart from others is the way we treat our clients and customers. Our goal is to please our audience and crowds. When people attend one of our events, we want them to leave with a smile on their face saying how much of a great time they had wanting them to become regular party-goers. Our Music Artist put out quality music and our customer service is excellent and priority. Our brand represents motivation and dedication to maximizing a craft as any person chasing a dream should.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Business-wise our city is a great place for people to come and chase their dreams with an open market for entrepreneurship. Networking opportunities and business venture expansion is great here. My only dislikes for the city is the amount of shady fraudulent person who prey on entrepreneurs with attempts to steal money or scam. It’s the scam capital. People lie about who they are and what they do for a living with attempts to steal your money. Do reviews on people before doing business.
