Hidden Gems: Meet Cedric Idudu of Idudu Properties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cedric Idudu.

Hi Cedric, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Morehouse Graduate started buying & selling homes three years ago. Purchased my first flip at the end of 2018. Renovated it in three weeks and ended up selling it making a nice profit. Replicated my same strategy two months later and never looked back since then.

Fast forward, mentoring over 33 mentees, building over $15m in private lending, 10x business revenue in less than two years completed my first e-book “Reduce Your RE Investment Risk & Make Money Fast”, renovated and sold over 50 properties, expanded my company network to other states such as Texas, Alabama, Illinois, Ohio, etc. – success has been an understatement.

My near future goal is to start building single-family homes for single mothers that are first-time homeowners, developing a large mixed use community, building an energy-efficient subdivision and starting a nonprofit organization that specializes in finial literacy and building wealth through real estate.

I live by the quote “Too much is given much is required” – Luke 12:48

Things I live by: Always conduct good business, trust your first instinct, all money is not always good money, keep your word, under promise and over deliver, work smarter not hard, rinse and repeat, be open to learn and listen, & if it’s not broke don’t fix it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not, but that comes with the territory. No one believes in you when you first brainstorm your ideas and aspirations but ironically, they’re always watching (smile). When things appear to obviously go well that’s why when everyone wants to invest or partner with you. Do I feel some type of way? Of course not.

In real estate and following your entrepreneur dreams – you have to have thick skin. When I first started, I literally went through 12-15 contractors because they were disloyal or tried to take advantage of me because I was a new investor. That’s one of the main reasons I decided to commence a mentorship program to help new investors circumvent what I went through. I also wanted to create a community of contacts for investors so everyone could network and work together & that’s exactly what I created.

I’ve lost close friends and partners but thankfully had the opportunity to cultivate magnificent relationships today that are stronger than ever. I’m proud to say today my circle is super strong & I’m forever GRATEFUL.

So it’s all been a blessing and I’ve learned to take all cons as learning lessons to become a better businessman, investor, teacher, etc.

As you know, we’re big fans of Idudu Properties. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My real estate company takes the ugliest most unattractive homes in any area or any state & turn them into jewels. We employee over 12 contractors and provide mentorship programs to help new and existing investors. We specialize in all sorts of remodels and renovations. Our sweet spot is finishing homes in 30-45 days.

We take pride in our mentorship program and educating investors on becoming homeowners, buying and selling real estate, establishing long-lasting relationships with lenders, developing a repeatable process to permit success in RE, & so much more.

Through our initial intake process, we interview all interested candidates & answer their questions to ensure both parties are a good fit. We truly take the time and energy to equip our mentees with all the tools to increase their success. Our intake process starts by visiting www.iduduproperties.com & filling out a questionnaire.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The next five years, we will expand to more states, help more investors become successful, build modern homes, publish more RE books, and complete large scale projects all over the world.
