Hi Chasity, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am from “The Good Life City” Albany, Ga but I currently reside in Augusta, GA. I am the owner of Lovethebrowz&Co where I specialize in Ombre’ Powder brows. Ombre Brows, also known as Powdered Brows, are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft-shaded brow pencil look. This procedure is performed with a tattoo machine using a fine needle to deposit pigment in the epidermis layer of the skin. I started doing Ombre’ Powder brows because I was very intrigued with the process of semi-permanent makeup. I took an Ombre’ Powder Brow course in April of 2022 where I became a certified Ombre’ Powder brow specialist. One of the reasons I started was because I wanted an additional source of income but this quickly turned into a passion of mine. After a few months of continuously working on my craft and building my clientele, I decided it was time for me to start my business. I launched Lovethebrowz&Co on July 1st, 2022. I started off with offering only one service which was Ombre’ Powder Brows. However, today I offer three additional services which are Brow maintenance, Henna Tinting, and Lash extensions.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
“If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal”. Yes! There have been many challenges and some days are harder than others but you have to choose success and push through adversity. One of the biggest challenges I faced was “imposter syndrome”. When I started out as a PMU artist, I had feelings of self-doubt, dealt with personal incompetence despite my growth, experience, and accomplishments. However with my client base growing not only in Augusta, GA but also in Atlanta, Ga, Columbia, SC and my hometown Albany, Ga. My confidence was built through these challenging moments.

I am a fully certified Ombre’ Powder Brow specialist that is based in Augusta. Ga but I am available to travel nationwide. The services I offer are Brow maintenance, Henna Tinting and Lash extension. I specialize in Ombre’ Powder Brows. Ombre Brows is a service for individuals who always want the filled-in makeup look. This technique can be done in different densities to create a natural look or a bold brow look. Ombre Powder brows is ideal for any skin type. Ombre Brows are waterproof, sweatproof, and smudge-proof. Unlike the traditional microblading technique, ombre brows typically last 1-3 years depending on skin type and yearly color boost lifestyle.
What sets me apart is that I am passionate about making each of my clients feel and look amazing. I am interpersonal. My client’s comfort through the process is very important to me. I continuously check with my clients during the services. I am also available at any time for questions or concerns during the healing process after the services.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Entrepreneurship in itself is taking a risk. You are literally betting on yourself and your aspirations. Betting on yourself and then winning is a major accomplishment. It might feel scary to start, but taking a risk even if it doesn’t go exactly as planned can be exhilarating. Risk taking is highly subjective and most people zero in on the potential negatives. Taking a calculated risk, mastering the necessary skills, and creating a solid support system to mitigate potential negatives will make the difference in becoming successful.
