Hi Chelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
At heart, I’m a girl that loves to throw a good party! I adore my family and cherish my friends. Whenever I could host them around my dinner table, I always made sure I brought out my best table designs. One thing for certain, I was going to make sure that it wasn’t any ordinary party. It had to be a showstopper!
With Tabloozah, I bring that same mindset to my clients, who trust me with creating an unforgettable tablescape for their happy moments in life. My main focus is to create an ambiance that transports everyone around the table to this one magical present moment where true connection is found. It’s knowing that it is a pinnacle that can only be reached when three special things align: around the table, breaking bread together, and a table decor that captivates everyone’s attention and sweeps them away. This is the Tabloozah secret. This is how we make dinner parties magical and Hosts and Hostesses unforgettable.
I started Tabloozah with the mission in mind to specifically champion the passionate Southern Host and Hostess who not only loves to entertain but also desires to create an experience for their guests that is talked about for years to come. While building my inventory, I stumbled across a small Versace collection of china that captivated me. I fell in love with the concept of something I had never thought of before…a Versace table for rent. This was the beginning.
Bringing a designer brand to the ‘tablescape for rent’ space came from the realization that most people, including myself, would never want to invest the enormous amount of money it would take to own a complete set of designer china. It was an Aha! Moment when I saw the opportunity to bring one of the top luxury brands to the rental market. Just like Rent-the-Runway rents designer dresses for those that don’t want to make a large investment in a dress for a single occasion, Tabloozah offers the same concept in the tablescape space and with some of the most valuable brands in the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We are a new kid on the block in the world of tabletop for rent We haven’t experienced too many growing pains at this juncture. I’m sure there will be challenges and unique situations to navigate. Our biggest goal right now is to get the word out that we are here!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a new party table design company called, Tabloozah. The name is a marriage of Table and Palooza. Palooza being an extravagant party with a plethora of friends that is named after the party giver; using their name with Palooza….thus, Tabloozah.
TABLOOZAH designs party tables for every occasion. Weddings, Corporate Events, Family Celebrations and Holidays. Tabloozah is not just your average ‘pretty table’….it’s an experience. Our mantra is “We set the table…you throw the party!” Around our tables, hosts/hostesses and their guests can truly leave the stresses of the day behind because we do all the heavy lifting. We deliver, set up, clean up, and pick up… Our hosts/hostesses get to just show up!
TABLOOZAH launched in January this year, exclusively with designer tableware Versace. Since then, we have added other designer brands to our offering, including Arthur Court, Kosta Boda, Royal Crown Derby, and Italian designer Richard Ginori.
How do you think about luck?
When I began to curate the Tabloozah line, I was initially headed in the direction of collecting a base of inventory that could be used for many different looks. During my shopping experience, early on, I stumbled across a collection of stunning Versace Le Jardin tableware for sale on the aftermarket. That’s when the light bulb went on for me! “Why not offer designer tabletop for rent? Nobody is doing it!” It’s like an industry mentality, why put something this expensive out on the rental market to have it end up cracked, chipped or broken. But I said to myself, “Why not”. Designer brands are exactly what customers need access to for their biggest and most important life celebrations. How many people really personally invest in these brands for their personal use? Why not make them available to everyone?
This experience really set the course for Tabloozah. You can definitely call it a stroke of luck; I like to call it fate. I know it was meant to be. It’s the very thing that sets us apart in the tabletop rental market.
