Hi Chiaja, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well where do I begin, it’s been a long journey to get to where I am today as I am still growing and striving for success. Two years ago, I moved to Atlanta from Miami, with my then two year old in tow, no real plan, trying to decipher what my future held. I knew I wanted to establish myself as a Brow Artist in this new city but I didn’t know where to start. After several attempts of trying to work at different salons in the area that didn’t pane out. I questioned myself that maybe it wasn’t meant for me to work for someone else but instead build my own brand. So one day, in the midst of a pandemic, with encouragement from friends, I took a leap of faith and produced The Brow Magnet. A waxing hair removal service specializing in eyebrow design.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been far from an easy road to get to where I am and I still face challenges everyday. As a new business owner you think that when you finally take that leap to make your dream come to life that, success is going to be knocking on your door and for some it may but for me it hasn’t. My struggles have been fear, self-doubt, discouragement, things not working the way I would like, and building my brand from scratch with little to no resources. Every day is a struggle but I continue to push through and I know my perseverance will pay off!
