Hi Darian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my clothing brand Love Equals Peace back in 2018. My goal was to spread a positive message in my own way and to spread something so positive that it can change people’s perspectives and way of thinking. My inspiration for starting the business actually comes from a Bible scripture: 1 Corinthians 16:14 “Do everything in love.” I feel that we actually take this message and practice it right; things such as our dialect, actions, and mentality will change. A year later, me and a close friend of mine started a podcast named LEPODCAST. On the podcast, we talk about almost anything in our own kind of way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The brand has faced a lot of struggles, from small to big, but it’s nothing that was too much to handle. One of the hardest challenges is actually time investment, with me being a college student. I may come across days where I have a lot of orders and twice as much homework.

Love Equals Peace (L.E.P The Brand) is a clothing brand that focuses on apparel for both women and men. I think what sets us apart is the message we present and how to push it through our clothing. Also, our podcast (LEPodcast) is very raw and relatable. I love it the most because we have to go and how much we can change along the way.
What were you like growing up?
I was a quiet and real chill kid, and it wasn’t until I started playing basketball that I got social with others. I’m a big music person, and I have any rapper ambitions or anything like that, but I liked music.
