Hi Destine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Destine Diaz, owner and operator of Peach Co. Cleaning. We are a small business nestled just 60 miles north of Atlanta. We have serviced all of North East Georgia for the past two years.
What started as a side hustle for a stay-at-home mom quickly turned into a full-time, family-run business. I started this business with the intent to have the freedom to contribute to my family while my children were in school. The world we live in today is not made for working mothers and my mission was to find a loophole to this! I was blessed enough to have an amazing partner to support our family, but seeing the stress on him and feeling like there was better out there for us was something that kept us both up at night.
I began cleaning in 2021 with the thought of just cleaning here and there to have extracurricular money for our family to truly make the best possible memories without feeling like the budget was too tight to have a little fun. One house turned into two which turned into more as well as offices and construction cleanings. I then knew that we were growing something bigger for our family. With the tremendous support from our family as well as friends and clients, our business is growing by the minute! The referrals are what keep us going and keep us strong. Knowing that everyone is rooting for you will keep you fighting stronger and stronger every day. Also, having a spectacular family looking up to you and only wishing success is another important factor to our business. We are truly blessed to be able to provide the services that we do. Working every day with our hands and doing truly helpful work gives you purpose beyond belief. I stand by our motto; “Clean places bring smiling faces!” Seeing the results of a clean place and a happy client is priceless.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business in the midst of Covid was an obstacle enough; however, as our business was growing, so was our family. I spent my entire pregnancy working, even going into labor at a clients home. We delivered our child in October of 2022 and we’re facing many challenges as far as keeping up with the high volume of clientele as well as figuring out who would clean while I was resting with our new baby. We struggled before finding experienced and committed workers to hold their work to standards as high as ours. Things just weren’t falling into place how we thought so we had no choice but to get immediately back to work only two days after being discharged from the hospital. Once we worked out all the kinks with a newborn and low staffing, I suffered a large head injury.
We’ve been impressed with Peach Co. Cleaning LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We cover all cleaning aspects in all locations through our business. Our services range from junk removal to office cleaning to real estate-ready cleanings. We truly do it all. There is no job too big for us to tackle.
We are known for our willingness to go above and beyond. Holding our reputation to truly high standards. Adding special touches wherever we can and taking each cleaning to the next level is something that sets us apart from others. All of our locations serviced are not just clients they are family. Part of something bigger than just a cleaning service.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The only downside we’ve encountered recently is the growth of cleaning services in our small area; however, this only pushes us to work even harder and stand strong in our stance within the community. We do the most that we can to stay active in our amazing city and being there as much as we can, whenever we can.
The support we receive in our city is beyond compare. We are proud to be Commerce Tigers and blessed to be welcomed into the community so gracefully.
