Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamyn Blackmon.
Hi Diamyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I begin doing lash extensions in the year 2016 and nails in the year 2020. Lash extensions were my introduction into the beauty world, as a way for me to provide for my family while seeking my college degree. I understood, early on, by being a mother, that it would be difficult to work a full-time job, pursue a degree, and continue to fulfill my duties as a mom. So, I begin to search for a job that was flexible, with the ability to be in control of my time.
During that search, I knew that I wanted to embark within a career, that I would love and enjoy with a passion.
This led me to take interest within the beauty industry. I always loved the salon atmosphere, the girl talk, and the experience of getting pampered, and I quickly realized that it was my happy place.
So, when I saw that lash extensions were becoming a new beauty career, it sparked my interest, and I begin searching for a credible lash training. I first took an in-person training in Atlanta, and three lash courses online. Upon completion of my training, I became a 5x Certified Advanced Lash Artist. In the lashing techniques of Classic, Hybrid, Volume, and Mega Volume.
Lashes will always be my first love, but I have also embarked on a new journey within the beauty world, which is nail artistry. I begin discovering this passion during the pandemic. Of course, many of us could not go to the salon, so I was forced into polishing my nails for upkeep. In the past years, I worked in the nail salon, Fantastic Nailz, as a lash artist, but I loved the environment so much. That although, I have a private beauty studio for my lash business, Glamify Beaute’ Bar. I also work as a nail artist in Fantastic Nailz, as a Nail Apprentice.
Today, I am very grateful for my career as a lash and nail artist. It’s so amazing, that I am able to provide services to women and men with the talents that God has given me. I enjoy seeing the immediate confidence and smile, that my clients have after they receive a beauty service. It’s a constant reminder, that I am operating in the purpose that God has created for my life.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Becoming a lash/nail artist was not the easiest skill for me to learn. It has taken prayer, patience, and a lot of practice. My biggest hurdle as a lash artist was learning how to create volume fans. I was terrible at creating volume/mega fans. I had no understanding of the technique, which was extremely intimidating. It took me, a year, of consistent practice and advanced training, combined, to grasp the technique of volume lashing. Now I love to do volume/mega volume sets. The thickness of the fans and the dark lash line is such a beautiful transformation and my favorite part of lashing.
My biggest hurdle as a nail apprentice has been getting comfortable with acrylic applications. It has taken a lot of practice, research, and watching other nail artists on how they apply their acrylic application. This has helped me become better as an artist overall because having a solid acrylic foundation is key to an amazing nail set.
During these struggles, I have learned that you can do anything that you put your mind to. My favorite bible verse to recite is Philippians 4:13, this gives me the motivation to conquer any obstacle or challenge that I face with a victory.

Glamify Beaute’ Bar, specializes in eyelash extensions services. We are known for providing the lash style of Classic, Hybrid, Volume, and Mega Volume Lash Extensions.
What sets me apart as a lash artist, is that I love to educate my clients, followers on social media, and other lash artists on the proper technique for lashing and how to properly take care of lash extensions. I am an advocate for beauty and health, and with lash extensions still being fairly new to beauty, it is important to help educate and teach others how to properly take care of their lash investment.
Brand wise I am proud of how Glamify Beaute’ Bar has grown and developed within the last five years. In 2016, I started my brand as “Diamyn & Co.” but in 2021, I wanted to change the name to something that was bigger than me. My biggest accomplishment with my brand thus far will be receiving my LLC for Glamify Beaute Bar and owning a private lash studio, to create a top-tier lash experience.

Glamify Beaute’ Bar has future plans of offering private 1-on-1 training courses in the year 2022. I am so excited to transition into the role of a Lash Educator, and to help aspiring lash artist, as a mentor, on their lash journey.
