Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Nettles.

Hi Donna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I actually got started because of my mother’s house which had a lot of mold in it. She had spent thousands of dollars remediating because she had a roof leak. But the mold was never gone. They just treated and they never really actually got rid of all the mold. My mother got really sick and I didn’t relate it to the Mold exposure. Because of her sickness, I brought her to live with me for her last four years of her life. Her home is in South Carolina, and my brother was supposed to be taking care of it. But he would leave for three weeks go work in Florida turn off the AC and open the windows, so ultimately the mold that was never gotten rid of grew profusely. So after she passed away. I went back to the house to check on everything and I found the mold was so bad that I was told that I had to tear down the house. That was nothing I could do to save anything inside. So I was looking for somebody to help me, but there was not a Mold mediation company that would help. I did not want to tear the house down. My dad built that house, I grew up on that street and I had a lot of sentimental value attached. so I found what I do and I took it over to my mother‘s house to treat it and within 48 hours, I literally was able to save the house and everything in it. Because my system is not normal it’s Ozone generators and without oxygen which Ozone takes out the oxygen, mold bacteria viruses cannot live. So I was able to eradicate all the mold in the entire home, including the ducts and the vents. So that was 13 years ago and the house is perfect today. So that’s how I got started and because I was able to save her home I knew that I had a business and I could help people with their health and my concern is about health because if I couldn’t help my mom and didn’t understand what Mold did, I can certainly make a difference with other people. So that’s my goal is to make sure the environment is healthy. I work with a lot of doctors, holistic functional medical people that refer me because they know that if the environment is not healthy then no one can get better that lives in that house. So I’ve been doing it a while and there has not been anything that I haven’t been able to get yet. I love the fact that people get better. They have a life they realize that they can move on and mold is not going to stop them because I eradicate it.
I actually work on commercial buildings , Residential, boats, vehicles & any thing that has mold.
I am certified in all areas, including Mycotoxins. I actually do all of the inspections to determine if there is mold and the game plan to get rid of it.
I have found my process is less invasive, it’s organic because I don’t use chemicals or sprays.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t think starting any business is a smooth road. But what I have found is when you find a reason to make it worth it then you can pursue and go further to figure out how to make this work. In the beginning, I was told that I didn’t have any experience which was true I didn’t and I was told that I didn’t know what I was doing and that’s true. I did not. But I learned I literally called mold mediation. Companies worked with them , and worked with environmentalist , took classes did anything I could to learn and did on the job training with other companies to try to figure out what I didn’t know.
But what I found was that what I do is more effective than what they’ve been doing for the last 50 or so years. So I think the hardest thing was trying to get over that hump of people realizing that what I do actually works. I have worked with many many people who have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with regular motor mediation companies and their home still has mold. I come in after they’ve done all that work and I get it within 48 hours.
Confidence building was the main thing that I had to overcome. Especially in an industry that it’s mostly men. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a woman that does what I do. And I think that’s probably another obstacle that I had to overcome was being a woman in this industry and having credibility.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Mold Gone 4 Good?
I have a company that specializes in organic treatment without chemicals. I eradicate mold. My system which is different uses ozone generators that are patent pending. It actually converts the 02 molecule to 03 molecule, which means there is no oxygen during the treatment and without oxygen no living organism can survive. And the other thing that’s really important is when you are treating mold, mold or spores, which are invisible in the air that we breathe,
I don’t know of any other mold company when they remediate Mold, that they can actually say they get it in the air. So mine is not a spot treatment basically. And because the way that I do this, the ozone penetrates through organic materials, such as sheet rock, clothing, carpet insulation, and eradicate it inside of those. So it’s basically science.

I also have university studies that have proven my system. I also have certified testing from qualified labs that show this.

There is so much misleading information about how to get rid of mold and it is very confusing if someone is just looking on the Internet or reading books. When I was getting certified for mycotoxin testing, I asked the scientist & CEO at the lab who had been there for 35 years Where the study is that shows that mycotoxins are still alive and a hindrance, even after mold treatment. He clearly said there was no such study. Which baffles me because every book that I’ve ever read about mold treatment and mold, remediation states that mold, mycotoxins are still there are even after you remediate.
So my conclusion is because they do not treat the air, and only spot treat, yes, I can see where mycotoxins are still around for those type of mold remediation. And I believe that how I treat mold and how I eradicated is much more successful.

And because of this information, all remediation companies that I have found except for me also cut out tear out and you spend thousands and thousands of dollars hoping that you can eradicate the mold to healthy levels. And of course it may be that needs to be done if there’s been a lot of water damage or neglect. And that’s what I determine with my inspections.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I think there’s so many scare tactics out there to bring confusion to people, that they become paranoid. This affects everything in their life. I just want people to rest assured that mold can be treated properly and once it is treated, there is no fear that it will return.

My work is guaranteed and I and I haven’t gone back to retreat anybody’s house after it’s been determined that the mold has been eradicated to safe levels.

I hear from people months and even years later how about how much better they’re doing and how their health is totally improved, and for me that gives me the reason to keep going.. It always brings me back to the moment I looked at my mother‘s house and realized How serious the mold was and detrimental, and it actually killed her. So for me, it’s very satisfying to be able to help those and educate them and make sure they have a healthy home. I say it every day, I couldn’t help my mom, but I certainly can help others.
