Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Eanah
Hi Dr. Eanah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been shaped by both my passion for psychology and my personal experiences with loss, resilience, and healing. I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, where my interest in human behavior led me to earn both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Temple University and later a PhD from Penn State. In 2013, I began serving as a psychologist in the United States Air Force, where I provided clinical and forensic psychological services to individuals navigating high-stress environments and trauma.
However, the most profound turning point in my life came in 2012 when I lost my oldest child, my daughter. That experience reshaped everything for me, deepening my understanding of grief, healing, and the ways we process pain. In my own journey toward healing, I found solace in creativity—writing, music, and storytelling. By 2022, I started incorporating creativity into wellness not just for myself but for others as well, recognizing its power in the healing process.
That realization led to the creation of Counsel Club, an online platform dedicated to making expert-driven wellness content accessible to a broader audience. Counsel Club is home to my show, “In Session with Dr. Eanah”, where I share conversations with others about their personal journeys. It’s also a space that elevates diverse voices in wellness, allowing professionals to share their expertise while fostering a community of healing and growth.
Counsel Club represents the next chapter of my life’s work. For consumers, it’s a space where they can access reliable, engaging wellness content that spans mental, physical, and spiritual health. For wellness professionals, it offers a platform to share their knowledge in an impactful way. My goal is to continue bridging the gap between clinical expertise and real-life wellness, ensuring that more people have access to the tools they need to live healthier, more fulfilled lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to creating Counsel Club has been anything but smooth, but I believe that every challenge has helped shape it into what it is today. Building a platform that blends wellness, education, and accessibility while maintaining high professional standards was no small task. From the start, I wanted Counsel Club to be more than just another wellness website—I wanted it to be a trusted space where people could access expert-driven content that truly makes a difference in their lives.
One of the biggest challenges was ensuring that the information provided on the platform was both high-quality and engaging. There is so much misinformation in the wellness space, and I wanted to create something that people could rely on—content developed by vetted professionals with real expertise. Finding and onboarding the right content creators, developing a thorough vetting process, and making sure the platform maintained a standard of excellence took time and effort.
Another struggle was the transition from my career in the military to entrepreneurship. After years of working in structured environments, stepping into the role of business owner and creative director required a major shift in mindset. Counsel Club wasn’t just about my vision—it was about building something sustainable that could grow into a thriving platform. That meant navigating the business side of things, securing funding, building partnerships, and ensuring the platform had the right infrastructure to succeed.
Additionally, launching a project of this scale while managing my own health and personal commitments was a challenge. There were moments of self-doubt, times when progress felt slow, and instances where I had to pivot and refine my approach. But through all of it, my passion for making wellness more accessible kept me going.
Despite the struggles, I’m incredibly proud of what Counsel Club is becoming. Seeing the impact it has on people’s lives and creating a space where professionals can share their expertise has made every challenge worth it. The journey is ongoing, but I know that the foundation we’re building is strong—and that’s what matters most.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Counsel Club is an online wellness platform designed to make expert-driven mental, physical, and spiritual health resources accessible to a wider audience. In a world where wellness advice is often scattered, unverified, or influenced by trends rather than science, Counsel Club stands out as a trusted space for high-quality, vetted wellness content.
What sets us apart is our commitment to credibility and accessibility. Every professional featured on the platform is carefully vetted to ensure they have real expertise in their field, whether it’s psychology, holistic health, fitness, or spiritual wellness. We bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and everyday wellness, offering content that is both engaging and reliable, something that is often missing in the online wellness space.
At Counsel Club, we offer a variety of on-demand educational videos, expert-led discussions, and exclusive series, including In Session with Dr. Eanah, where I have deep, meaningful conversations with individuals about their life experiences. The platform serves both consumers and wellness professionals, giving individuals access to real, actionable wellness education while providing experts with a space to share their knowledge in a meaningful way.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the integrity behind what we do. We’re not here to sell quick-fix solutions or trendy self-help advice; we’re here to provide real, science-backed, experience-driven guidance that can truly help people. Counsel Club is about empowerment, education, and connection, and I want readers to know that whether they’re seeking tools for their own well-being or looking for a space to share their expertise, Counsel Club is built for them.
We’re still growing, and I’m excited for what’s ahead—expanding our expert network, growing our content library, and continuing to create a space where wellness is rooted in knowledge, not noise.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is that healing isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about connection. For years, I approached wellness from a purely clinical and academic perspective. But through my own experiences with grief, loss, and transition, I realized that true healing comes from feeling seen, understood, and supported. No matter how much information we have, we don’t heal in isolation—we heal through relationships, storytelling, and shared experiences.
That’s why Counsel Club isn’t just about providing expert knowledge; it’s about creating a space where people can connect to real stories, real guidance, and real community. I’ve learned that people don’t just need advice—they need validation, hope, and a reminder that they’re not alone in whatever they’re facing.
Another lesson I’ve embraced is giving myself permission to evolve. Life will always bring unexpected changes, and instead of resisting them, I’ve learned to trust the process. Transitioning from a structured military career to building a wellness platform was challenging, but it also reinforced the idea that growth happens when we allow ourselves to step into new versions of who we are meant to be.
At the heart of it all, I’ve learned that wellness isn’t a destination—it’s a journey. And the most powerful thing we can do is keep showing up for ourselves and each other along the way.
