Hidden Gems: Meet Eau Du Vin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eau Du Vin. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Eau Du Vin

Lauren Crim & Kimberle Elbery are the “Somm Moms” behind Eau Du Vin. We met through our love of wine and immediately hit it off because we are both moms who work in wine and are wildly passionate about wine, wine education and celebrating wine culture. Our partnership began when Lauren had this incredible idea to find a way to celebrate that wine culture outside of the vineyard and asked Kimberle to come along on the journey.

Lauren created all the fragrances and together, we spent many months perfecting the creations. Every varietal was crafted using the academic markers sommeliers are tested on. Over 300 fragrances were blended before the perfect ones were carefully selected to invoke a unique sensory experience.

Our products can now be found in numerous winery tasting rooms in North Georgia and some retail shops around the city.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The hardest part has been juggling the time it takes to start a new business with us both living an hour apart and both having young kids, other jobs, etc.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our Wine Inspired and Sommelier Crafted home and body fragrances celebrate wine culture outside of the vineyard. Following an academic approach, our handcrafted products embrace the classic aromatic markers used by Sommeliers to identify wines globally. The mission behind Eau Du Vin is to capture the true essence of each wine varietal while factoring in the romance of viticulture and enology. Uncork a unique sensory experience and get transported, one scent at a time.

We have high-quality products that actually smell like the aromas in wine and that’s what sets us apart from other wine-inspired products on the shelf. We are both sommeliers who have used what we have learned to create these products and we have been 100% hands-on from concept to completion of each product. We do all our meetings in person and like to know all of our accounts personally. We take pride in the relationships we have built with this company and put our customer satisfaction first.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The home and body industry is always changing as new concepts come out or new ingredients are introduced. While we are new to this specific industry, we are excited to see what new trends arise.
